New custom forum rules effective 7/11/16

Hello ! Over the past few years, it’s become clear how the CW forum operates a bit differently from the other forums on Subeta, including the other art forums. After a lot of discussion between staff, we have decided to alter the rules for this forum slightly to better accommodate CW creators and sellers!

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY – Every user may have up to TWO active boards on the custom wearable forums as long as the following rules are kept:

• Each user may have ONE private shop where they sell solo.
• Each user may also have ONE joint/collaboration shop where they sell CWs with at least one other user (and up to however many) together.
• The same items cannot be sold from multiple shops

Please note that other rules of the forums still apply – for example, your board must be on page 2 of the forums before you can begin a new board. This means if you are running a joint shop with another user and they disappear or become inactive, you must STILL wait until that board is on page 2 before you can start a new joint board with another seller. HOWEVER, unlike in the past, you will be free to still continue to sell CWs yourself out of your personal board.

We will be monitoring this carefully to make sure it is not abused or taken advantage of. Also, please note if you have had a past warning for “spamming” due to having two active boards when one of them was a collaboration board, you may submit a ticket and we will be able to review and revoke the warning. this is a REALLY smart change! thank you all so much for this; a lotta folks want to start up new boards but ended up waiting ages following the old rules, so imo this should help to streamline the process! c: depending on traffic page 3 is sometimes still a ways off, but this decidedly makes it easier to keep going/releasing during that wait time.

Yes! I think the majority of you guys will love this rule change :) It'll be fun to see what kind of new collaborated shops people come up with (or allow people to start a new solo shop, too)

As long as that is the ONLY thread a user has besides a solo selling board, yes. You cannot create multiple joint event boards :)

Also, I have a question - Myself and sometimes do joint commissions/design buys and we co-release and share profits. Currently (and in the past) we have pinged on either of our boards to take slots. Is this still fine if we do not have a collaborative shop? And likewise if we opened a collaborative shop, would it be required for us to slot only there (in lieu of either his or mine only) ?

Asking for specific clarification here since you said the same items cannot be sold from multiple shops, and technically now I suppose they are available from both mine and his!

Ideally, we don't want to see the SAME item for sale on multiple boards at any time (even before this). You and can continue to operate solo shops with your collab items, but they should only be advertised in one shop or the other. This is where making a joint shop together may be useful, because you can then have your solo items in your solo shop :) If you make a collab shop, you won't be REQUIRED to slot anything there -- but you have to pick one shop or the other, basically.

Thank you for the change! :) I've been looking forward to this, as i'm thinking of having a solo board or switching to a different collab/joint board.

Sounds like some fun shops may come to exist, thanks to this change.

I haven't been too active as of late, but this is a bit of a motivator for me to get releasing crap lol.

if i have a personal thread for my shop and a friend wants to occasionally release things on it, does that change its classification into a joint shop? or would she have to create her own thread?

Yes, that would change the classification to a joint shop. She should really make her own thread if she's going to be submitting her own separate CWs.
