Again this is a "pre-shop" so i am commissioning at reduced rates, until i have enough examples. Your commissions will be my future examples. Go ahead, give me what you got. Let me surprise you. You do not owe me money until you are satisfied with my work
So far this is my only example of a completed item. Its a reference to axel from kingdom hearts if you wanna look that up. I also have a separate thread for this wig if you want to slot for one. But this wig isn't the point of this shop. I want to do a wide variety of things in this shop so i can have examples for my real shop

. rules one --- If you take a slot, and i complete your item and you're happy with it, please pay for the item. If not, i am not owed payment two --- In this instance taking a slot just means you're grabbing a commission from me. three --- Ping/inbox me to get a slot please four --- We can do detailed back and forth discussions on the creative process via email once you've decided to take a slot five --- Payment will be received after you approve the art, but before i hand over the files. If you aren't happy with the result i am not owed payment. I will try to fix it if given the chance
. ping group if you wanna get first dibs on my Kingdom Hearts tribute cw
. slots I grouped categories by price point, toggle the spoiler to get more details and check what slots are left

I can't really buy anything more right now, but I may have commission for a wig from you later on next month. you do great hair, and I do have a certain character that really needs a good wig. Not sure if you have heard of Arthur from mystery skulls, but I'd love to have a proper wig for him.

I am sure at this point you've gotten a lot of advice and a lot of suggestions and it's very frustrating and new, but I do have one more suggestion I think would help.
Right now you have just one example up. This gives people a very vague idea of what you're offering, especially because you're using a preview that's huge and all the proportions are off so it makes it very difficult to see what you're offering in it's actual quality.
What I suggest is making proper examples to start with. Here is an example: Item image / Preview on an avatar The size of these images (in case you are zoomed in, which it appears you might be) are 64x64 for the item image and 125x250 for the avatar. Saving these like this gives people a clear example of your work!
The second suggestion I have, is making more examples. Unfortunately people cannot see what you're capable of if you only have one. And I can see you've went around seeing if people will trust you to commission you, but that's not how commissions work. People don't often agree to give payment for something unknown, especially when the price can be steep. So I suggest making two or three more examples of different types of things you're offering (so not just all wigs) to give people a good idea of what you're capable of! C:
Have fun and good luck! ❤️
[edit]
As a side note, you can sell your examples as flat price or auction them off! For example if you draw a pair of shoes, you could try selling them to the first person who wants them for 2k csc, etc.
the idea is they give me the task, i complete it, if they like it they pay me and i have an example. if they don't like it they don't pay me, and i know i need to improve on it. This is NOT a cash up front deal, and i SIGNIFICANTLY lowered my prices over the researched average for precisely BECAUSE i have no examples and I'm new. The entire point of this "pre shop" is to get more examples for my real shop, where i will charge standard pricing. I thought i made that kind of clear in the post but ill try to emphasize better that this is NOT cash up front and people are taking zero risk to let me try their designs out for practice and examples. This is the best strategy i can think of next to just drawing random shit, and honestly that wouldn't be a clear reflection of my abilities anyways because without the customer requests i wouldn't push myself in the same ways.
good idea on the better preview though i will get on that. And i hope that didn't sound rude I'm just trying to clearly say what this is, really. My "real" shop will work like a regular shop. This is a practice shop. To get examples for my real shop.
I appreciate you going through the trouble of typing that, however I already understood what you're doing. "Pay if you like it" can come off as a very manipulative and guilt-trippy way to work with someone. "Oh you only pay me if you like it" says they have to literally tell you to your face "I don't like this and I won't use it." which not many people are comfortable actually doing. As a result, it makes people end up paying anyways, for things they don't want and then they feel negative towards you.
It is simply my personal opinion that if you're just starting out, you might want to steer away from something that will associate your 'image' with negativity.
However, you're free to conduct business however you want. My perspective is not everyone's of course. When I first started out, I did a lot of random ideas on my own for practice, and when I couldn't think of anything, I did freebies. People were sometimes even so happy with the free art that they tipped and I was very grateful for that.
Thanks to the weekend double cash thing I think I'll have enough for a wig commission. I would love to be your first customer. :) Also have the csc for axels hair too whenever you have that ready too. ^^ So like when you make the item will I be able to have as many as I want, or how does that work? (sorry if that is a dumb question) I would love to have Arthur's hair for both wardrobe, and pet treasure. I'll stick to wardrobe though if I can only get one wig.

im gonna PM you so i can explain lol. But long story short with a commission you could have unlimited copies depending on what you choose to do with the art.
Inknote just suggested you a a person to make a CW, but with the broken images, i'll have to wait a bit until I can see what you've made before I do some serious thinking. BUt the prices you have listed are nice :)
