I'm not super sure what you were asking. Did you mean that if a zapped experiment pet (which you also turned into chibi) can be potioned to other pets? They can be potioned to whatever pet as long as those pets exist.

Yes, you can definitely do that! The only reason it might not have worked before is because some pets are still missing certain colours. That's happened to me before, only it was a zapper glitch. Your pet will change into whatever pet and species you pick. If you want to make sure it exists before you change it, you can check here.
