And I didn't know what else to do with the information, so here goes.
It was a cross between pokemon, dynasty warriors, and dark souls. You controlled a team pf six pokemon that you could swap between at any time, kind of like the pokemon trainer from brawl. Each of those pokemon has a unique fighting style and weapons. (In my dream, I had a Snivy that wielded a katana, whose attacks were slow but smooth and very damaging, but could dodge very fast, a Zangoose that used a matching pair of shortswords with a lot of punch, whose attacks were faster, and still very damaging, but who couldn't dodge as quickly. He had slightly more armor to compensate. And a Koffing, who could be used sort of as a chemical grenade, combining different substances to make AoE attacks that didn't do much damage, but could inflict status ailments, like poison, confusion, blindness, bleed, that kind of thing, and could be particularly effective against particular enemies. He was difficult to hit, but had almost no HP and armor, so he had to be used carefully.) The world was mostly dark souls, with big epic environments, with tons of details and lots of enemies to fight, and the enemies operated sort of like dynasty warriors, with lots of smaller, weaker enemies (though still a threat if you get caught in a bad place) and occasional stronger enemies and named enemies. There were also dark souls style bosses. The combat was a mix between dynasty warriors and dark souls. It was harder and more strategic than dynasty warriors, but a little smoother and more fantastical than dark souls, which usually tries to be fairly realistic. There was also different missions you could do, and you could pick up new items like dark souls, although you could see what it was you were picking up, it wasn't just a glowy ball thing. (Again, in the dream, I was doing a point control mission in a firey castle area, where you had to defend against waves of harder and harder enemies until you fought a mini boss, and if you succeeded... well, I woke up before that, but I'd guess you'd get a weapon related to the area.) I think there were areas where you could catch pokemon, too, I kind of remember it as being maybe a minigame, with cutesier graphics, more resembling pokemon.
So yeah, that was my biizzare dream. (All my dreams are bizzare, but this one was kinda cool.) I thought you guys might enjoy reading that nonsense, haha. Hopefully you did. ^-^

That's quite an interesting dream you had. I don't really have any in-depth questions about it since I'm not familiar with any of the three games you listed (maybe a little bit of Dark Souls and Pokemon), but it was certainly a fascinating read. I have weird dreams all the time too. Unfortunately, I forget most/all of them only a few minutes after waking up. D:

TBH, Pokemon is the only one of the three I've played, as well. I've watched some let's plays of the Dark Souls series, and I've played Hyrule Warriors (which is kinda like Dynasty Warriors, but with Zelda characters). The only Dynasty Warriors I've actually seen was about 5 or 10 minutes of watching someone play it on a TV in the room I was occupying. So I don't know at all why it featured so prominently in this dream.
Either way, I wasn't actually expecting anyone to respond, lol. I'm glad you found it an entertaining read, regardless. :P
