i have a bunch of dumb little questions so sorry in advance if a simple search could have found answers. i am kinda having issues everywhere with security and asking in the open here makes me feel a wee bit better

so the add section in a basic layout includes interests. mine are there from like five years ago and i can't edit or remove them. sure, you can't view them if i don't have that section yet they are still there in the background somewhere. they all give a 404 nginx error or whatever it is (as does any interest on this site, i think?) and i'd prefer them just deleted. what do?

custom css is empty as default or something else?? and theme HIDDEN has a use i am not realizing, i hope? i am not trusting widgets or off site embedded junk lately, i guess ..

also!! i noticed some users have an actual https profiles whereas mine gives a not fully secure. (or either i have a weird hijacked thing elsewhere.. gr). i've tried everything i can think of at the moment to, uh, help my profile along. not that i really know how. i reset everything (including offsite), coding should all be removed, deleted a lot of comments and all my groups should be gone..

as a note i was gone for a bit and just now realized that subetalodge stuff seems phishy lately (and stylefile also comes to mind being that it is now a dud). not to mention forums everywhere are iffy. basically i want to make sure images etc linked elsewhere from this site (that i no longer have access to or even forgot) can't be utilized in targeting my account now? if that makes sense. i could just be be paranoid from other experiences but still

I can't help you with the interests - I don't think I've updated my profile in two years or more because I juuuuust don't ever remember to - or any of the security and coding things, but I can tell you that when I go to your profile and to your pets' profiles, all of them are https URLs, as everything on Subeta is for me nowadays.

Try this page to delete the interests. I don't know if it'll work, but I stumbled upon it by googling and I figured it was worth a shot. D:

I'm kind of wondering if that's a cache issue. Have you tried clearing your cache since they rolled over entirely to https? Mine clears automatically when I close my browser, but I don't believe that's the default setting.

yess, i have cleared cache 65465 times at least. i've tried multiple browsers and instances as well. unless it is like some developer mode hijack i can't find.. or a bookmarks issue that isn't really subeta causing, i am not sure. for now i will edit over shops and delete page by page my Unsorted wishlist as it won't delete it all in one go

custom css should be empty as a default, if there's stuff there, its because you, or someone accessing your account added it. You should be able to simply delete everything in the box and save it to reset it.

HIDDEN themes aren't anything ominous, they're just called hidden because they are rewards for achievements/events. They simply recolor the site items, change the banner and dashboard background images, etc.

If you're concerned about your account security, change your password and be sure to logout when you finish playing. You might also want to consider changing your email address as well.

Come to think of it, all user profiles are https in the URL, but they also give a "not fully secure" warning for me too. It shows up even on fully blank, or brand new profiles. I don't think it's anything to worry about, though?

I get the warning (yellow triangle in Firefox URL bar) about some pages not being fully secure too. It's because some elements of the page are not HTTPS.

Take the Adopt R Us page, for example. I get it there. The Blue Building icon there is still on HTTP: http://subeta.net/explore/sub_images/blue_building.gif

You'll also see it a lot on areas of the site that users can customise, because user profiles, pet profiles, and some signatures/forum text contain content hosted off-site, and not on HTTPS.

i am curious as to where my "HIDDEN-" came from then.. eh. it hides everything useful. annd as for the rest .. done all that~ i am not new to the internet aha, i am mostly inquiring with reference to zero day type stuff or anything vital in the subeta news that i may have missed

edititit missed i found one user that it said secure for and now i'm forgetting. i'll have to find them again. with this i thought it had to do with being able to customize layouts yet if a default one doesn't and some users does i get confused. i also found users with a . (a period, yo) in their name which i did not think was tolerated(?) and was unsure if things could go haywire with the user or pet names and symbols ..(not trying to ~tattle, i just recently read the memo again as i perused the site). wah i wish i knew coding programming better
