She just sent me to Carl. I'm like 95% certain that Shinwa only sends you to quests that everyone can do - not Saggitarius (money), Sarah (money), or Carl (Omen Islands access).

I don't have access to the Omen Isles, and I'm not about to drop several million sP on the missing map pieces just yet. I'm not wrong in assuming anyone could complete her quest, am I?

I think she's trying to encourage people to buy the map. really just unlocking Carl's quests will eventually pay for the map, and it's something everyone should do. there's entire events like Keelhauliday people miss out on if they don't have it.

No problem! If you want to stay in the know, I'd recommend joining this official forum group for site updates that don't necessarily get news posts. Or this one that is for smaller updates that may not be announced officially by staff or that are discovered by other users.

the reason the news is piecemeal like that is because a small but significant number of users don't want to be constantly pinged by administrative stuff like this. A lot more of the functioning of Subeta is transparent in a way that other virtual petsites are not, and these users they just wanna play.

Like just about everything else here in Subeta, there's an alternative method or a workaround. In this case, on the News page there's a link to Staff Forum Posts. All the above-mentioned and -linked info threads almost always have someone staff creating them or posting on them.
