This is an open call for any trans or questioning Subetans to come together and build a community for ourselves on here.
Click here to join the Trans Subetans ping group
All I can say for sure is that I would like this to be a supportive space. Other ideas for this group are up in the air-- advice, giveaways, chatter, et cetera. There's a lot of potential here, and I want this to be entirely community driven.
With that in mind, what are some things you'd be interested in seeing from a group like this? This space can be whatever we decide to make it, so please don't feel shy!
Credit to for the great idea!!
Hey all!
My name's Christopher (but you can call me Mono if that floats your boat), and I'm an admin for the trans ping group! I myself am a trans guy - I'm on T and I've had top surgery, so if you have any questions about that sort of stuff, hit me up! Other than that, I'm a 4th year uni student studying Mechanical Engineering. I'm fluent in German, I've done martial arts for about 7 years, and I was in choir upwards of 10! I have lots of random hobbies (including knitting, because I'm actually a granny at heart), and I love meeting new people, as lame as that sounds.
I hope that this group can be a space where people are free to enjoy themselves, however that takes form. c:
It'd be fun if some of y'all from the group wanted to introduce yourselves. I look forward to meet ya!
Nice to meet you both! I'm Devlyn, and also a trans guy. I sadly live in a area where there isnt much help for trans people. I live in North Carolina and I'm sure you all know the shit going on here right now. So I am pre T. and such. Theres nowhere within a few hours of me that helps people like us and I cant drive.
I am disabled and have ptsd so sadly dont have a interesting job to talk about or anything. But I love animals especially horses and training/riding them. I'm also a good listener if anyone ever needs a shoulder to lean on.

Hi, I'm Jordan, you can also call me by my username, also a trans guy. I have been very fortunate and started T, like 4 months ago?
I just got a new job after being fired- anger problems/depression/toxic environment. :D? I was a dog groomer for about 3 years. I like to think I'm pretty good for just grooming pets. No show dogs, but I'd love to learn. I'd love to have a Standard Poodle. Life goals: Std. Poodle. My new job is backup groomer/doggy daycare babysitter. A+ Dogs. You got dog questions, I'm your man. I have 0 dogs, 2 cats, a snake, and a betta fish.
Got my BA in history and minor in classical studies in 2012. Which explains why I'm grooming dogs. One of my professors told me to go into American History, but I'm a stubborn pos and stuck with classical/medieval. Which I can't go further with because I need to learn greek, french, and german. But at least I know latin?
Other than dogs and history, I am really into d&d, fantasy books (I'm so picky though... I don't like Tolkien), video games (Dragon Age is a problem), and writing.
Hello everyone! I go by Fenn online, and I'm a nonbinary/agender trans person from Finland. Haven't had any kind of treatments as of yet, though I actually have my first appointment at the gender clinic next Tuesday, which is pretty exciting! (And scary because I've heard the staff isn't exactly... great. Getting any kind of treatment seems to take ages unfortunately.)
I'm currently living the glamorous life of a minimum wage part-time retail/warehouse employee, but I'm hoping to get my transition started this year so I can start school in fall 2017 studying either gardening or environmental engineering! In my spare time (which is most of it at the moment) I play video games, waste time on Subeta and Tumblr, watch Critical Role and Let's Plays, and do yoga. I'm fluent in English and Finnish, and decent-ish in Swedish. :'P
im quill! i also go by daud or rhys. let's just.... Leave My Gender At Nonbinary for right now. i'm 24 and live on the east coast in america, specifically somwhere around the crabby area of boston
i am going to go to school for early childhood education, but i need to find an online school that 100% is online... so it doesn't conflict with my job, which is a retail worker at petco! i play with Le Dogs all day long and i know a bucket load about... a lot. dogs. cats. small animals. some fish. ask me about dog food. i know too much. its Embarrassing.
i have a Lot of pets at home. 3 dogs, two rats, a mouse, 2 ferrets, a rabbit, a leopard gecko, a blue tongue skink, and a fish
my interests atm are: star wars, funhaus, zaibatsu (super best friends play), mild rtah, writing, dishonored, and overwatch m/

It's nice to officially meet you all!
Do you guys have any sort of idea what you'd like to see from the ping group and the community as a whole? It sounds like we're all in different places with our transition, so I think there's a lot of potential to be there to support each other. It also sounds like we've all got lots of similar interests outside of being trans (lots of animal trainers, some sweet STEM nerds, the whole nine yards), so I don't want to minimize the opportunity to just have a community where we can chat and hang out and whatnot.
If you don't know what you want from this forum/group, that's a ok too! Whatever you've got to say, though, throw it out there!
I don't really know what I'd want. Honestly, I'm fine with being pinged for whatever: opinions, questions, chatting.
Agreeing with tbh, everything's fine with me! I'm not usually super talkative but a place for casual hanging out/chatting does sound nice. (:
yeah, it could be just fun to come here to talk from time to time. pop in and out

@ EVERYONE
it's really nice to meet you all!!
i'm perfectly happy with keeping it casual too. i'm not exactly on subeta for The Discourse or anything heavy. keeping it as something to visit occasionally sounds about my speed tbh.
i still want to organize a giveaway tho. not immediately but sometime in the next couple of months? i'm grinding for my last few trading cards but after that i'll have more than enough sp to dedicate toward a prize. i'm thinking wishlist items since the group is relatively small atm? what do you guys think?
Sounds great!! Wishlist items are always good since you can be sure it's something people actually want. :> What kind of giveaway did you have in mind, or are you still thinking on it?
Also I've gotta share this! I had my first appointment at the trans clinic last Tuesday and it actually went surprisingly well! I think I probably got lucky and got assigned one of the best nurses because she seemed really nice and knowledgeable on the subject. :0
aaa omg!! that's really great news~
i was thinking just any old wishlist item as long as it's around 20mil or so? idk though. i'm open to suggestions
seconding the wishlist giveaway idea!
anyways, hi! i'm luke or aster, and i'm genderfluid! i use he/him or she/her pronouns. more simply you could just call me hinata and use he/him~ i'm a highschool student going into junior year! my interests are kpop, pop punk, youtubers, video games, and some anime. i also like making my own ocs and stories!! my girlfriend and i are working on making a little rpgmaker game right now! i really love talking to people but im nervous to approach first so,, rip me i guess
i don't plan on changing my physical appearance, because i'm pretty androgynous, but that could change in the future. i'm afab as it stands!
Hi! I'm Thiel (or you can use my username). I'm 21 and nonbinary. I use they, them, and theirs. I just graduated college and my entire life is currently spent desperately searching for a job.
I'm not planning on making any changes to my appearance- for various reasons I prefer to present femme so my body as is works ok for me (I'm AFAB). I'd get dysphoric part of the time no matter what, so unless something drastic changes I'm not going to do hormones or surgery.
I agree with all the people up thread- a nice casual place to chat with other trans* folk would be ideal for me. The wishlist giveaway idea is also a good one!
giveaway is always good if its like a 1 week ga medal... who won't turn down free ga... i dont remember how much it costs so maybe its around that 20 mil range. 100 csc is always fun, too..

hey, i'm bix! i'm 20 years old, nonbinary, and a lesbian! i use they pronouns & i currently share a house with my sibling and my roommate.
not planning on getting any surgery or anything. dysphoria happens on my bad days, but surgery just isn't for me!
i do think a group for trans users would be pretty cool. like, having separate forums and threads discussing stuff like hormones, surgery, venting, and just hanging out and sharing positive experiences together!
hi everyone, my name is gere, i'm 20 years old and nonbinary. i use they/them pronouns, but not currently undergoing any type of therapy or plans for surgery.
i'm a little nervous being here seeing as this is something i've only recently come out to the public as, everything i felt has been internalized up until now. so this ping group will be a great help and i can't wait to see how we grow as a community on here
Hi all, I'm Armor. I'm nonbinary and take they/them/theirs pronouns. I've had top surgery but I think that's about as far as I plan on going.
I would love this as a casual place to chat with other trans people and/or share positivity with each other. (The giveaway idea sounds pretty nice too! although I'd need to remember to start questing every day, aaaah)
Anyways, nice to meet you all (except you, , you don't count because I already know you) and I look forward to chatting with you!
they/them/theirs, please.
