I have some questions regarding warnings and reviving old threads. Please forgive me if I'm not allowed to ask these questions.
Can I get a warning for reviving an old thread? Does the standard "please don't revive dead threads, this is now locked" count as a verbal warning? If I unintentionally revive a dead thread and it gets locked, but I'm not notified, would that still count as a verbal warning? I know that you get three warnings per offense, but does unintentionally posting in dead threads count as a big enough offense to warrant a ban?
Forums: Keep Active Threads on the Front Page Honestly, I have some suggestions to stop people reviving dead threads here and they're all quite simple to implement, I reckon. I'd really like these questions answered though. I've been using Subeta for over nine years and I try to avoid any offenses for obvious reasons. I'd hate to have my account frozen over something super trivial and, essentially, avoidable.

I'll answer this as a mini-mod since i'm the mini-mod of the art market forum, but no, you won't get a verbal for reviving a dead thread by accident. In such cases, I usually just lock the thread and tell people the rules regarding revival of dead threads since with the vast majority of people it's typically an accident.
However, if a person is doing it deliberately, as in deliberately bumping up a bunch of dead threads then yes, that may fall under spam rules. The occasional accidental revival of a dead thread, not really though.
Just wondering, why is reviving a dead thread a problem? Some topics may still be relevant.
Thank you very much for the response! I really appreciate it. This alleviates a lot of my anxiety in regards to posting in the forums. I'll still be cautious, but I won't panic when I see that the thread I just replied to has been locked. :)

to cut back on spam mostly. Also, just if a thread hasn't been responded to in 3 months or longer, in most cases it's no longer relevant and typically has since been abandoned.
You're welcome. :)
I believe the Suggestions and Ideas forum doesn't have the 3 month rule because some suggestions may still be relevant if they haven't been implemented yet and more people want to voice their support. I think also because in that case it's easier to have one thread for a particular suggestion or idea instead of a bunch of threads all saying the same thing.
