I apologise if this is the wrong topic/board -- but! I had a friend of mine join Subeta tonight, and I was showing her my pets and the general idea of how to get around on-site. While I was there, I clicked on one of my older pets --

Honey, I don't think your birthday is December 31st, 1969.

I honestly found this error more hilarious than anything else, as it hasn't occurred to Starcrossed ( which I'm pretty sure I made the same day as Feroce way back when ).

Aka -- I have one of the oldest Subeta pets, according to his birthday!

It's due to a system error. I can't remember what it's called, but it's related to an error that will occur in programming (in general, I think) that sets that date. For those particular pets, the error occurred during a certain pet clearing awhile back and a few days afterwords.

I figured it was some kind of programming glitch. Either way, I'm not too worried about it. At the end of the day, it'll be resolved or he'll just run around with that particular date. ( which isn't too much of an issue for me, as his birthday didn't factor into his creation. )

Wow that is actually pretty funny. Would be cool to have a pet "born" before the site was even in existence if the staff chooses not to worry on fixing this. XD

It would be really neat, yeah! I'm sure they will now that I've pointed it out, but it would be cool to have a pet 'born' at that date. He can probably just yell at all the others to get off his lawn. :')

I don't think it'll be fixed since it has been like that for years already. And I hope they won't fixed it because in my character design for the glitched pet (I have 1 glitched pet), he was actually born on new year eve of 1969.

theres a whole slew of pets with the same glitch lol and it occurs all over the internet. That date is the first programmed date of when computers were first turned on. Facebook had that glitch recently telling people they had been friends with people that long XD

I thought it was something like that! I always find things like that hilarious, tbh. Because it's like: "You know, I get the feeling something is not quite right here. I like the glitch, though. It's no bother to me. 8)

Yeah that's definitely one glitch I wouldn't be bothered having. And it's not abusing or harming anything with the site so in my opinion there's certainly no harm in it.

I love that glitch and pets with this birth date are actually quite sought after (you can make cool characters with this concept). (For the record, technically it’s a glitch that occurs in Unix systems mostly based in america since ‘date 0’ in those system is January 1st 1970 0:00:00 UTC)

I recently changed the ID of my pet Pollack to have this birthday since it’s relevant in his story.

It’s been around for years so it’s don’t think it’s getting fixed :P
