I don't think there's anything you can do until you actually get your settlement, whatever it will end up being. Even if your attorney told you a certain amount it doesn't necessarily mean that's what you'll get at the end of it all. The person you're suing probably won't have that kind of money. You can sue for whatever you want but it doesn't mean you'll get it.

A family member of mine sued a corporation that definitely had the money to give her and even though her lawyer told her she'd get a certain amount she ended up nowhere near that figure. I wouldn't do anything until you actually have the money in your bank accounts. It's much safer that way. No point in counting your chickens before they hatch and all that.
