I have 38,664 in my currency storage plus another 2,000 in my shop which aren't selling. I've got enough Carnival tickets to last me for years even though I only play carnival games for Major Drills. Blackheart Hollow rarely stocks and it's very difficult to catch it when it does, the Token Shop doesn't stock very often and you have to be lucky enough to be online when it does. Vending isn't worthwhile for most of the year now the rarities of items have been lowered and it's not much fun pricing hundreds of cheap items when you don't have a GA.
Are staff planning any new uses for Wizard Tokens?
1/2 pt wizard tokens can show up as recycle beast items :D.
I have 375,353 lol....but yeah I think there should be some new uses for the tokens
token shop restocks a lot more often than it used to, and if you're a member of the ping group, it's pretty easy to get two things from a stock you can also sell the tokens, they sell pretty well.
Omg and I thought I had it bad with 10,000! You guys have a loooot of tokens. Yeah, I cannot imagine a use for 375k tokens.I guess fragging doesn't solve it since then there would be 375k power crystals... buy out the whole dang shop.
Maybe there can be a trade center in Shengui Go that only accepts currencies that aren't SP. They can sell more Shengui Go foods/clothing/other consumables, and only accept wizard tokens (and maybe holiday currency since I know there's people who have hoards of those sitting around too).
you can't frag tokens anyway :x recycle beast though but that would take a long time to convert them into single tokens.
Sometimes I manage to find people in the Advertising boards who are selling stuff for Wizard Tokens, but yeah, it's so easy to make them and fairly hard to spend them again. Maybe there should be some kind of tokens-for-sP service, like there is for recycling points, so you don't have to wait for people to buy them if you have too many.
Vending needs to be tweaked again. (re?)Introduced higher rarity items in vending, and bring back the unlimited vending.
There are some people who would go for that. But vending is so cheap lately, it's not worth it to do any more.
/edit to add I have a shop in to which I dump vend items (Minus new wears I don't have basically) Since I've opened it, maybe a week ago, I've sold 565 items, making a profit of 741k Which translates roughly to 1.3k/2 wiz tokens - or 1k less than the 2 point wizard token sells for. (Only shining crane items at this point - other vends may be more profitable)
bird and bear and hare and fish give my love her fondest wish
We aren't planning on bringing back unlimited vending permanently anytime soon :) It's possible that we'd be interested in getting lots of items back into circulation and open it up for a weekend or something (and raise the price / rarity cap at the same time) but we don't have any plans for tweaks to vending - they're something we're still working backwards from :)

By "back into circulation" you specifically mean retired items, yes ? Cause I can't imagine you'd mean current stock items when we have such a huge problem with so many being overstocked, underpriced, and just sitting there (I still think quests should only give out one item because of these problems).
And then what he really means by retired items is "jk vending is fine and is finally slowly fixing restocking, what i really mean is lowering wizard token output from wizards quests since they give out so much sp anyhow that they couldnt possibly not be profitable."
I think it wouldn't hurt anyone to have a few big-ticket token items in the TS, eg. Weapons, wearable trunks, etc. now and then to keep the desirability of tokens up.
I think anyone who is a regular quester is swimming in more tokens than they can reasonably use, I know I do wizard quests more out of habit than actual need.

Could try something like Weekend Quests but with the vending machines.
A random vending machine is picked for the weekend, more rare/retired item drops, half off pay usage, and/or a higher limit.
There are a bunch of uses for tokens already, we just need more expensive stuff in Blackheart Hollow and the Token Shop.
I have nearly 500 000 000 SP, does that mean that we need more uses for SP? Nah, just means that we need more high-ticket stuff
I think it's more of an issue of not having expensive enough stuff/not having enough stuff that appeals to the users with tens or hundreds of thousands of tokens.
And honestly, once you hit that point, there probably never will be enough things that appeal to you that you'll burn through 300k+ tokens.
Dude, I would burn thousands of tokens if it allowed me to pick whatever I want from the Ruffie Raffle. I'd pay 1000+ tokens for that boon
I usually have 19k-20k wiz tokens. I'm not trying to hoard them, but I like doing wiz's quests because his sp payout is good and I don't have to bother with sorting out the item prizes in shops and pricing them, like with most quests. Most days I don't even do any other quests than what Shinwa asks, and still they tend to pile up, even though I usually manage to snag two items from the now-weekly TS restocks.
I'm not sure about coming up with another use for the tokens, but I do agree that the TS prices could be higher. Most items in TS (potions excluded) cost less tokens than can be made in just one day, and it's really lucky timing if someone manages to buy more than 2 items there per week. At least we have pretty much weekly TS restocks now, I still remember how rare they used to be at one point...
I like the idea of a shop selling items for tokens. It would need to be stocked with new items fairly often, though. This could be done by putting new items there instead of adding them to the restockable shops.
Well I was grateful I realized I had two referral points (hello random stranger) and could buy some 500pt tokens for this most recent restock.
I'm admittedly pretty lazy with my Wiz Quests, but the prices on recent TS items are still a little disheartening (even if I do 'get it') and just kinda cement my laziness. There have been several items I was 'on for' but since I depleted all my (never that large) token horde I didn't want to drop the sP to buy em.
Just for a little more of the point of view of the casual/infrequent/new player. Dedicated players who hoard and have been around for a long time are always going to be an outlier. They need to be designed around/encompassing, but not quite for (or at least not for every time).
