I'm assuming price will go down a tad when more are for sale?

Long story: As far as dark blockers go there are not too many readily available high tier options on site. You have the maniacal essence that is only awarded to the top battlers, the thunderball that was a rare plot prize and is OPB, the slayer, the tainted keeper staff that is highly sought after and the comet flash which is kind of like the poor man's dark blocker. Since the slayer is tied to an achievement, you can only get it once so many of the people who earn it from the achievement wind up keeping it since the only better options are so rare to find. Dark is also a common icon dealt which also makes the slayer very appealing.

Short story: Unless they have a better dark blocker, I don't think many people are willing to sell it. This also means that anyone selling it could charge whatever will make them part with it for someone who's desperate. I think you would have better luck battling the minis to get it and avoid overpaying.

thankyou I had someone else say it really wasnt worth what people could put a price on. Im concentrating now on getting the 4 challengers i missed in the cash shop, that and doing my BQ's daily. Ive come so far in a few weeks!!

There are very few instances where an opponent only deals dark icons. It's usually if you can block one type of icon or the other you will be fine. That being said, there are much better weapons than the slayer out there that block other icons and provide a good amount of heal. Cobalt scrolls or scrolls like skelly, aftershocks and TA combined with weapons like PBB could also provide some amount of dark block. If you are above 2,500 def, comet flash could be a decent alternative.

I do not have the TA scroll is the challenger Lady of the waters who gave it out retired or not do you know? I do need to get some better scrolls missing holy deluge as well which i see mentioned a bit! will follow some threads and see what i should get next

Fatal Fire Scroll (OPB) is also a nice, consistent dark blocker.

Lady of the Waters is definitely retired and unfortunately staff usually don't re-release battle achievements/loot if challengers pop up again :(

I think the more important thing to realize is that it is far from mandatory to have a "Dark blocker" for the sake of having a dark blocker.

The thing is worth 50mil at max, and that is if you have 50mil just burning a hole in your pocket. It's maybe 5 total hours of work to get one, once every other year? And it is hard to sell if you eventually earn one for yourself.
