I'd really love to see more backgrounds that can be used for layering with other backgrounds, especially natural landscapes like the Seashell Memento.

I guess I'm not really understanding this Suggestion.

I have used Foreground and Ground items layered behind nearly everything, they work just fine to modify my Backdrop. There are items that are categorized as Backdrops besides those four that are not like most backdrops in that they don't cover the whole rectangle. I think of these as a layers-identification failure. Subeta's layering system is sloppily inconsistent between the ideas of 'we're gonna allow/pay for serverspace for storage of six items in this slot and we're gonna have this many slots', and 'ontological category' 'orthography is king' and 'actual use in RL'

So I can't tell what you are asking for or suggesting.

The Seashell Memento is one of my favorite items and was one of the first items I went out of my way to get a Ultimate Game Card to buy right away. It's really hard to use.

It's pretty obvious to me that is asking for more background/ground/foreground items with transparent areas so you can layer them together. It's got nothing to do with the layering system.

As for the actual suggestion, I think it's a cool idea. I do enjoy getting to layer stuff together.

I love this idea. Layering backgrounds with transparent areas (or varying opacities) is a lot of fun, and I'd love to see more options to do this.
