1. Say there is an account whose last activity was in June 2014. Accounts become eligible to clear after a year, right? When will the account actually clear so the name and pet names will become available?

2. Say I have two pets, Bob the Archan and Jim the Ruffie. Bob is a T9 battler and Jim is a T1 battle virgin. I shell out my 750 csc to switch their names. Will I now have Jim the T9 Archan and Bob the T1 Ruffie? or does something else happen? I figured this out once (I think) but for some reason I just cannot wrap my brains around what exactly happens when you swap pets' names and I feel so dense lol.

Accounts don't clear like they used to anymore. Now it will say somewhere along the top "this account is inactive!". So if you wished to take that username, then you could. Same with the pet names. You can create a new pet, or change an existing pet to the freed name.

And yes, the only thing that happens is the names are swapped. Everything else stays the same.

The account gets marked as inactive exactly one year after it was last logged into (if the profile has a "Last seen" date visible, it's one year later). But 10 months after the last login, it gets a notice at the top that it will be cleared on xyz date. So if the account you're watching doesn't have a "last seen" and doesn't have that message, it probably won't clear in June.

It doesn't, I'm estimating because that's the last time they were seen in the forums (which I know means nothing, but it's all I have to go on). So it only takes ten months for that notice to appear, the actual clearing takes place after one year? I've wondered about that, why it says "account eligible to clear on ___" and it's months later.

Yeah, I didn't even know they used to have to clear accounts manually. I think I hadn't yet joined when that change was implemented! Okay, I think I have it straight. Maybe. I don't know WHY this is so hard for me to understand. ._.

Even if the last time they were seen in the forums was june, doesn't mean they are inactive. They could just not post.

Yup, the notice comes up after 10 months. You might also want to check their WL unsorted category and see if there are recent items in there; but I definitely know how disappointing/frustrating it can be when you don't have a date to go off of

Ooh, that's a good idea... yeah they seem to have items in there from last summer. I just realized... the last forum post was 2014, which is over a year ago because it's 2016 now... so it would have cleared already if they hadn't been active since then. Agggh. I guess I'll just have to keep checking. Thanks for all your help.
