I actually had no idea what to call this, so I just picked something that seemed ( remotely? ) fitting. Hi, I'm Tyrant! I've been on Subeta for over seven years, but I just got back from a really long hiatus. So, because of that, I literally do not know anyone ( oops! ) I was hoping to lure some people out to chat with, seeing as I'm far too hopelessly awkward to invade an existing thread.
I like video games, writing, collecting tea sets and cats. I also live in Western Australia, so my timezone is ridiculous.
hello, i'm in much of a same boat except i've been back a year without ever touching the forums.
was there anything in particular you were wanting to chat about? i've been mostly trying to resist my urge to waste hours in fallout 4 so i could study for exams..... :(
I think my last post in the forum is something like... 2014? I dread to look, honestly. LOL.
My boyfriend got the fallout DLC today, actually! He seems to like it a lot. I haven't played it ( yet? ), but I'll probably get around to it at some point. I'm waiting or Overwatch to get released, because I was pleasantly surprised by how it played. I'm not a huge fan of shooters, but I like that they had supports.
What are you studying, by the way? c: ( and, honestly? i'm cool to chat about anything. LOL )
ah!! sorry about the super late reply! i delete a lot of notifications by accident
Let me know when you do start F4! I live in Boston, so it was really cool visiting all these places I already go to, or discovering places in Boston I've never heard by exploring areas in the game. And also to see the schools I went to in shambles because of the nuke :D
I'm actually waiting Overwatch with my friend so we can play it together, and what we really like is the backstory behind all the characters. I've only seen the first trailer though so that's not much to base off of, but it looks really cool and I like the character designs.
I'm studying biology right now. What are you up to?
waves hi!! I've been on subeta for 10 years on and off. At this point I haven't been taking intentional hiatuses so much as I just kind of drift away and then back again for a time. I have 2 friends left here. :^) I, too, love tea sets!! I don't have nearly the collection I used to, but I have this gorgeous red cast iron teapot that I'm very deeply attached to.
.glaze I hope you dont mind me butting in, but OMG that's awesome, which subset of biology are you studying?? I've wanted to get into biology my whole life but I left school because of my health before I got the chance.
EDIT: uh... I accidentally pinged someone else because of the . in your UN?? Lmao I'm sorry to both of you, it's been so long since I've frequented the forums, I don't know how to fix it!!
That would be so neat! I've never been to Boston, though I did a seven week trip of America when I was thirteen. There was nothing quite like going to some of those small towns ( especially in the South, since my Dad hadn't been down there ) and having people ask: "What part of America are you from? LOL.
I've been playing a little bit now that it's out! I'm really enjoying Lucio/Mercy, though my boyfriend would prefer I branch out, 'cause he likes playing Mercy too. I also like Pharah, but I don't play her nearly as much.
I'm right at the end of my semester, actually! I'm studying Media and Communications/Screen Production, but I'm thinking about dropping from Screen Production and going into Media law. I just need to wait a few more days until I can apply.
Oh, that sounds beautiful! My mum got me a Royal Doulton tea set when I turned eighteen, though I forgot the name of it off the top of my head. It's this delicate pink, floral set. Unfortunately, because I moved to live with my boyfriend, I don't have it here. When I move out, I plan on getting it back.
Also, sorry for the late reply! I went to the doctor yesterday to pick up some meds and he wanted me to do a full checkup???? So I had my height/weight done and then a blood test. I, being afraid of blood and being pretty stressed/tired lately, passed out as the nurse was taking my blood, then ended up vomiting twice. Needless to say, I spent the rest of the day in bed.
Ah oh no!! Getting blood drawn is the worst!! I don't blame you -^-' my veins are really deep, so every time I have to get blood drawn I just tell them they have to go straight for my hand with a butterfly needle. I usually end up getting bruised a whole bunch first cause they don't always believe me. And then inevitably someone makes a smartass comment about how "you have piercings and tattoos, and you're afraid of needles? LOL" like excuse u it's not even remotely the same type of needle but whatever lmao
So wait -- you took a seven week trip in America?? :0 That's cool!! You've probably seen more of it than I have, and I live here! lol
Whoops I didn't get a notification XC I kinda feel bad about the person who keeps getting pinged for me, but apparently they haven't been on in 4 years. Maybe I should just change my username to it? But I'd feel bad about it if they ever decide to come back, or maybe have friends that are still on.
I'm sorry to hear about that! I hope you have less blood-related checkups in the future :(
And wow your semester ends kind of late? I thought the US ones ended the latest, around mid-May, and I know Canadian end early/mid-April.
I just checked out Lucio and Mercy and they both look super cool! I only had eyes on Zarya at first because I love female tanks. Kind of looking forward to start of fall semester so I can play with my friend.

I kind of have the opposite problem, where I don't mind blood needles at all (it's actually really fascinating for me), but when it comes to tattoo/piercings I start freaking out. I have a really low pain tolerance, which is kind of ironic considering how injury-prone I am and how often I get my blood drawn. But I still really want both :C
I don't really have tea sets of my own, I share them with the family. We have z?sh? tea sets that are in really fun shapes (my favourite is the set that looks like bamboo leaves with cicada motifs).
