It's official! My boyfriend and I have been dating...3 years and 4 months exactly as of today, and he popped the question yesterday!

We are nerds because we are gamers (lol my username) so the engagement was nerdy, but adorable at the same time. Him and one of our mutual best friends prepped this huge thing on Minecraft actually. They made this elaborate course for me to walk through and he put these cute little notes throughout the whole thing. It was also filled with inside jokes and whatnot, since I make these really fancy buildings when I play Minecraft and he always makes a long tunnel or stairs everywhere, ha. Then the last sign told me to walk onto some glass blocks and look down, and he used blocks in the ocean that read "Will you marry me?" I was thrown off at first but then he got down on one knee and I was like, Oh my gosh this really is happening, haha. It was nerdy but he also wanted it to be nostalgic since we played this game a loooot through the years. It fits us, too. It took them over 20 hours to create and they're not the most creative people so with me being an artsy and creative person, it was really touching that they put in the effort to do that.

To add to that, the two of us finished college a few days ago! We graduate on the 14th, where I majored in Marketing and he majored in Computer Information Technology. Early last week was absolute hell with being swamped in final exams, projects, and senior capstones, but then it made a complete 180 when we finished college and then got engaged just a couple days later. I'm not rushing the engagement thing because we both want to find our "big boy/girl jobs" and I'd like a fall wedding, so we'll probably wait until the fall of 2017.

I'm not the typical girl to squeal and get all emotional, but I am super happy :)

Apparently he asked for my dad's permission and told him he was planning on waiting either a week after we finish classes or a few days after graduation, but he told me he said "screw it I'm doing it today" on Saturday hahaha. I told him I simply wanted to wait until I finish my classes and then I'm cool with whatever he wanted to do. I really wasn't expecting not even 48 hours later though, lol, I thought it would've been a while longer xD

I'm finding that there's a lot to do with a fall wedding! A lot of my friends think I am weird because I have not even looked at wedding stuff prior to getting engaged so I'm just now starting to get ideas. Plus summer is too hot and two of my cousins that just got married at the end of April both last month and last year experienced rain at their weddings. So I think fall will be great :)

Haha as awesome as that would be, I think I want just a simple fall themed with autumn decorations and whatnot. Though it's highly possible I'll make the groomsmen wear super hero shirts underneath their tuxes/suits for wedding photos because I have to throw in some sort of nerd somehow. Plus I love those photos omg.

That sounds lovely! I also had a fall wedding, peek season for a wedding, so prices will be more expensive. Saturdays are always the most and Sundays are usually cheaper, don't know why lol guess cause no one wants to party late on a Sunday ^^ I know you mentioned your user name before. Yeaa Saturdays are definitely more expensive! I imagine because it's typically easier for relatives out of town and if they are travelling longer hours to get to the ceremony. Oh, and Tali is just a character from a video game that actually my fiance got me into, Mass Effect lol.

Thank you very much! And yes, several of my cousins who recently got married and my mom have been pushing for me to look into Pinterest so I have been. There are so many things to choose from and I find new things, so it's like, crap what should I pick lol. But it has definitely been a help!

I'm not entirely sure yet, to be honest! It'll most likely be themed around fall; we have some tree slices to use on each table to place our centerpieces on and have some ideas with some rustic lanterns, pumpkins, etc. fall stuff lol. I haven't decided on the colors yet. I'm currently between some coppers/red/amber/gold colors and some chocolate browns/light blue. The first one matches fall better but I also love browns and blues together.
