Hello my fellow role players! I am Lady Foxx, a frustrated writer in desperate need of some new great partners to add to my slow growing list. I would like to say that I am not overly picky when it comes to those that I role play with, but I would be lying. I have been role playing for over 10 years and I tend to know what I’m looking for both in someone’s personality and their writing style/ability.
Below I have laid out some guide lines of what I am looking for in a partner. If you feel like we might work well together then please, please send me a message. I desperately wish to create some new stories and it is so much better with a valued co-creator. Keep in mind that this list simply refers to what I am looking for, everyone is different and that’s okay. If we do not work out, please don’t take offense. I am just trying not to waste anyone’s time.
Long-Term: I am only interested in partners who wish to create a long term story and/or partnership, not just kill a couple of days or weeks.
Post Length: Now I will say that yes we all prefer quality over quantity, however I am finding it is nearly impossible to have the former without the later. In the past I have said "Length does not matter, so long as I have something to work with." This statement has invited a fair amount of one, two, and three liners. Yes, these short posts gave action, and reactions I can "work with", however I 'work with' it with very little interest. Ultimately the posts grow dull, and the partnership is ended by my frustrated hand. So I am now back to saying length does in fact matter. There is no way that someone can convey all that I should know in just a few short lines. Your characters actions and dialogue are not the only things that should be in a post. I want to know what they are thinking/feeling, what changes in the environment around them. Most of us write in a past tense, omniscient view. This gives you a wonderful range to work with, use it! I want to be inspired, and interested in reading your post so that it spurs me further in my own part to the story. Let me see what is in your head. This should take a minimum of a paragraph +. I know it will fluctuate based on the amount of action, but that should be the very base. On the flip side of that, detail should have a purpose. It does not take a whole paragraph to describe the color of someone's eyes. I promise.
Availability: We hall have lives, I know this and you should know this. I also understand that not everyone has the amount of time that I do online, fine. But I do not like waiting weeks at a time for posts. I am not a patient person, I am afraid. So if you tend to take large amounts of time (regularly) to work up a post, then I am not the partner for you. I do understand the occasional bout of Writers Block.
Characters: This is going to be a real sore spot for some people, as this is another place I am very specific. Again I will remind you that this is my role play search, so I am going to post exactly what I am seeking. When it comes to characters I tend to play one or two major characters and countless side characters. My main characters are typically female, and I do not intend for that to change any time soon. I will not tell you what you should play, but I do expect any partner of mine to play side characters. You cannot have a story with only two characters, and I should not have to carry the entire cast.
Limits: I will discuss limits in detail if you have any questions, but I do not have many. I prefer that the people I role play with not be too strict with them as it tends to make for a boring story. I will tell you that when it comes to romance in role plays, I will not do a homosexual romance as the primary as is becoming the standard. It has nothing to do with a bias, just not something I want to do. I prefer that a primary romance be of the hetero variety. (Cliché? Yes, I know. Get over it.)
Mediums: I only role play over E-mail. I prefer using IM systems for plotting and chatter though!
If you have made it this far, and you are still interested in seeking a role play with me feel free to send me a Private Message. I very much hope to hear from you soon. In the following posts I will put up my genre and plot lists. It may take a while, but I will get them up as I can.

Plots
Road to Eldorado-esque story-
You know this one don’t you? A pair of thieves/ treasure hunters wind up more than a little misplaced in a new land where they are mistaken by the natives for Gods. This would fall under the category of past/fantasy (could really be set in any number of time periods). I have only put the very base line of the story because this is one that would need to be created between partners. How did they wind up in the new land? Shipwrecked? Escaping a prison ship or having to abandon their own? Do they already know about the chance of ‘Eldorado’? Or do they chance upon it? How do they react to the mistake and what plans do they make for the future? Are they being pursued? Basis of the plot; our characters are partners in crime (on good or bad terms) who wind up faced with a great deal of choices to make, and riches to be had.
Reverse Tarzan: (Based more upon the novel than the movie) It’s the story of Tarzan; an infant human reared by the Great Apes who becomes King of the Jungle who eventually crosses paths with his own kind when they are stranded in his home land. Caught between two worlds the group of strangers must depend upon each other to survive and learn. The reversal means that instead of a human boy, it was a human girl baby raised by the female ape. She becomes a strong example of brute strength and the human intelligence. When a group of strangers from the ‘modern world’ are trapped upon her island she has something to learn from them, but they have plenty to learn from her. Takes place around the late 1700s t to the early 1800s.
Tangled/ Rapunzel story- For this I have only sketched out my main character and the goings on in that half of the story. Why? Because the idea is to intertwine the story with my partners character (and goings on) and create an epic tale. The beginning plot is heavily borrowed from Disney’s Tangled with much higher influences of fantasy;
A shadow a witch, named Eva, hoards the manna or magical energies of a flower produced by the Lady of Light or Sun Goddess. This flower grants Eva unlimited manna for her own use and offers up the gift of eternal life & youth. For several centuries she goes undisturbed in her using of the plant.
In time a prosperous kingdom developed in this land of light and quickly became a powerful nation to the known world. During the rule of a benevolent pair, King Wolfe & Queen Gwyneth, Eva made herself known and was given a place in the Royal Court. With her great power, and seemingly kind intentions she was made the advisor for all things magic. For a while this worked out well for all involved, Eva had her power and now fame to go along with it. The tides turned troublesome for the witch when the Queen is pregnant with the first heir to the throne. Gwyneth became terribly ill and there was fear that both she and the child would be lost to the kingdom.
Even though Eva had kept the flower to herself, such great things of power have a way of slipping into legend. The legend of the Light Flower was all that Wolfe had to turn to when both the physicians and Eva failed to heal his beloved. He charged the entire Nation to turn the world upside down in the search, but Eva thought for sure it was safe from being found.
One night the sorceress was followed by an overly curious stable hand when she disappeared into the forest. He witnessed her use of the mystical blossom; growing stronger and turning backs the hands of time, and quickly returned to report this to the King. At the threat of a painful death, Eva surrendered the flower and was imprisoned. The Light Flower was given to the Gwyneth in a mixture of salad, and almost instantly she was restored to health. Two months later she would give birth to a Princess with hair the color of flames, which betrayed both her and Wolfe’s darker hair.
Though the Kingdom rejoiced, Eva had been waiting for this day to make her move. She used the very last of her energy to make her escape from prison. Taking the lives of several guards along her way, Eva made only one stop in the nursery of the regal infant. Though she had intended on murdering the little beast and carving the seed of her beloved flower from the child she was forced to reconsider when she beheld the girls burning locks. The child’s hair was bright as an inferno just as the petals of the bloom had been. And when Eva recited her incantation for the plant she found that the curls began to glow and produced the same mana she’d received only months prior. Restored to her former glory, Eva decided to truly make Gwyneth pay for her cruelty. Just as the nursery doors swung open, Eva lifted the now screaming child into her arms and was devoured by the shadows. To the dismay of a Wolfe and the guards he lead, there was nothing left of either the child or witch when the shadows were cleared.
That brings us to the present day where the girl with flaming curls is now a young woman living several hundred miles from her birthplace. She is called Fia and is kept within a tall tower safely tucked within a forest. Her hair has grown freely, and along with it has grown her magical abilities. Outside of being able to give her mother, Eva, manna & restore her youth, Fia can heal small flesh wounds and manipulate light as she pleases. Over the years Eva has discouraged Fia from using too much of her magic, for fear that the girl might grow more powerful than even herself. Fia has spent her entire life within the tower with only Eva and the Shadow People (minions of Eva’s creation) for company. All that she knows of the outside world has been filtered by Eva, and this has created a fairly naïve young woman. She is content with her life, for she knows nothing else. Trouble comes to the tower, however, when a messenger falcon brings Fia a letter from Eva. It informs the girl that her mother has been imprisoned for the use of magic and needs Fia's help. Of course Eva only asks for Fia''s help because she has no other option and could be facing death again.
Hmm...I may have babbled a bit, but you could have always just skipped this one. My hope at this point would be that our characters cross paths and somehow wind up becoming partners. The why & how depend on the characters themselves and what all we plan on having happen. In the present world magic and creatures that exist in magic are taboo if not outlawed in some parts. I would hope that anyone who wants to attempt this has my affection for fantasy.
Old friends reunited (Genre: …Pirates?)(Could be done with space pirates…like treasure planet) They were long term childhood friends despite their very obvious differences. She was a dreamer, with her head always in the clouds and eyes on the sea in the distance. A delinquent with a history of wandering away from lessons, and picking fights in the school yard. He was a rather mousy, bright youth with his nose stuck in books with a fascination with learning. Their friendship was much stronger than their differences however. He had a tendency to create excuses for his missing class mate, and she was always at the ready to defend him from school yard bullies. They were both children to upper class families, though the girl’s mother was alone in raising her. It was often said that the girl’s father was a wanderer of the sea, and that is where she had gotten her overly ambitious and wild tendencies. Her mother was all but overwhelmed with the child, which led to a strained relationship.
One day she was able to convince her straight-laced companion to ditch their afternoon lessons with her to look into a mystery. An unmarked ship that flew black flags had drifted into the harbor and was catching quite a bit of attention. From the top of a cliff the pair caught their first glimpse of the pirate ship, {to be determined}. While the thought of pirates terrified the boy, the girl was fascinated. The thought of life at sea free to travel the world was ideal. It may have been a touch too much excitement, for the youth jumped up onto the rails of an old wooden barrier and managed to crack the bottom beam. Without much warning the fencing gave way to her weight and she fell over the side of the cliff only to disappear into the water with little sound. Help came, but there was nothing to ever be found of the missing lass. For a long while, anyways. Flash forward 10 years He has become some sort of scholar. (Mapmaker, Historian…whatever, can always be changed. ) still devoted to his books and a life bound to land. He is just the sort of scholarly type that a particular pirate band has been looking for and he’s just the one that they come after. Whether he is kidnapped, or persuaded to go with the promise of payment can be decided later, but he winds up on the ship at the hands of the ships first mates. The reason they need him? They are seeking a treasure the location to which is buried within several journals and a coded map that none of them can decipher. It is only after he is aboard that the Captain is told of their plan, and makes herself, and her objections known. The Captain is the same girl who had fallen from the cliff a decade earlier, now not so much a child but still plenty of trouble.
From here the story can go whatever direction but I sense a good old fashion treasure hunt. The boy can become a pirate, or remain reserved. Enemy pirates, plenty of trouble from the navy and maybe a pissed off sea monster or two? Again, from here it depends on the partners.
