For intelligence, you can purchase books for your pets to read, once you buy a book, you can click on it in your inventory and read it to whichever pet you choose. Go here for books!

As for food you can find food all over Subeta, check out some quest or go to the Main shops to find food vendors.

You can make money a variety of ways, I suggest you start with Sarah

Hey!! basically what Dave said, but if you click on your pets page there should be an option at the top for free food? quests are basically the best way to make money here. good luck!! :0 and give your kitty a pet for me!!

I have 2 cats one is named Storm and shes a mix, gray and black my others name is Nia and shes a chubby calico cat who wont stop eating. And I am 20 years old :)
