Hi! I didn't really make friends until I started hanging around the forums too. :) One thing I did that helped a ton was join some ping groups. If you are an adult, I recommend # asp! They are super friendly and have lots of fun. :)

Another good tip is to add newbies. Don't be afraid to hang around the introductions forum, welcome the people to the site, and offer them a helping hand if they need it. You want friends and they need friends, so it's a good situation for the both of you.
