Hello! I'd like to do the Merana Accomplice achivement but I don't want to turn any of my pets into Hydrus, so I was wondering if it'd be somehow against the rules to offer to take the pet of someone who actually wants a hydrus, so I can do the quest, then return the pet afterwards. I know I could just grab a random pet from Adopt R Us, but this way I'd actually be helping someone get the pet they want? Would it be against any rule? I don't even know how to search if its against the rules or not e.e
No, I don't think that's against the rules. But pets can't be transferred again for 30 days (and as a side note, Hydrus pets lose their blessing if you put them back in the pound)
Ah, I'm glad to know! I just mentioned the pond as a last resort, because names are important, so I'd rather if I were to help someone, to actually change the named pet they wanted, not a random named one. I woulldn't mind holdin onto it for the time, if the other person wouldn't, either. Thank you for answerin so fast, too! =]
You could always have the other user put the pet in the pound at a time when you're both online and try to grab it that way, then transfer it over once you turn it Hydrus, but there is a little bit of risk that way. You wouldn't have to wait the 30 days though
Not everyone has access to the Omen Islands. It is OK to be kind and curse other people's pets Hydrus if you like. You are allowed to request exact compensation for whatever quest items Merana asks or for the items themselves, but no more. You don't have to do even that if you are feeling generous, though.
The Bhakoru is another example. It is only available to folks who were around for that site event because only they have access to the crystal chamber, and those of us who have access to the crystal chamber are also allowed to create Bhakoru for other users.
The main thing is always that pets are not to be sold or traded for anything even other pets.
