Pothos Plant Overwater?
I had this plant for around two years? I have taken very good care of him and I let him sunbath for a bit and watered him outside (once) the past day. There was a lot of sunshine and it was nice and warm out. I watered him until the soil was wet and made sure the drainage holes were open so the water could run through. Now as I come back a couple days later and the color is not as green and some (not all) of the leaves have the brown over saturated water look on it. Overall though, the plant seems to be doing fine. It's perky and the stems seems okay. The soil is moist. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y103/lavy---dragon/IMG_4947.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y103/lavy---dragon/IMG_4946.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y103/lavy---dragon/IMG_4945.jpg http://s4.photobucket.com/user/lavy---dragon/media/IMG_4943.jpg I'm concerned of this will cost me my plants life lol and what to do to take measures to make sure he's going to make it and survive. ---- Here it was a couple days ago: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y103/lavy---dragon/12990840_10207318841343468_2740703820449912932_n.jpgI'm not sure if this is the solution, but your plant may need a larger pot so that the roots have more space to absorb food. It may be a low cost solution in each case.
Another approach is more expensive to send some samples of the earth from the current pot your plant lives in, for investigate in a laboratory for soil analysis, with information from your plant too. Maybe they can you give more specialist advice.
I'm not a plant expert, but it sounds like it could have been too much sun exposure. The (german) websites I looked at about this kind of plant all say no direct sun and if possible no air draft.
& I found what I did wrong, I basically sunburned my plant lol. I need to gradually introduce him to outdoor light and no full exposure. Just like humans I guess ? Haha.
Well. Next time to leave it alone outside, apply some sunscreen 😂 Glad you found out what happened :3
I had the exact same issue with my Orchid! She's sunburnt because I put her in front of the window every day, but it was way too hot and now there's dark marks on the leaves...
I just did that to my Orchid as well, I wasn't much as a fan of the Orchid since it blooms like once every 1-2 years? Lol? Mine got to bloom last year now the leaves are brown. Yay! All a learning experience haha.
- psst! I know pothos are one of those plants where you can take a clipping and put it in water and it will grow roots. see and read here
So if you ever have a bad episode and need to save your plant, our want to start some colonies, you can do that.
