The Saturday earthquake left at least 480 are confirmed dead with over 4,000 still missing. Several cities are left in ruins, including Manta, where I have distant relatives that lost everything to the earthquake.

On a side note, several earthquakes in Japan last week left dozens killed with about 1,000 injured.
