Hi, I am sure this is a dumb question but I have a question when you ping a person with a strange username.

Say the person has a period on the end of their username - how would you ping that person?

it should ping the right person. do you have a specific username you want to try it on?

you may want to try @ username_ if that doesn't work, but the brackets were made to ping anyone with special chars in their username.

the brackets are necessary, and substituting any spaces or periods in the un with underscores instead is also necessary, I think. TBH instead of trying to construct that code, go to their recent posts and click the Ping User and then Copy whatever shows up in your message box when that happens.
