Hi, everyone! I'm Shieldmaiden, or Naomi if you like. It's been about 2 years since I was last on this site (I think it must have been around this time of year I last logged on, because I'm pretty sure those are Vesnali items my avatar's wearing), but I was thinking about it today and decided to come back. My account went inactive (oops), so 4 of my pets' names were taken (and one of them only a few weeks ago!). Ah well, I'll just have to come up with new ones. I guess it's a good chance to revamp them.

Boy, was I inundated with notifications when I first logged on lol. That was fun. But I'm excited to be back, and learn my way around again. It's coming back to me slowly. I found out I have 3 loyalty boxes, which is exciting! I'm definitely going to use one for an extra pet slot. I might hold on to the others for a bit, though

I don't know anyone here anymore, so I'd love to chat with people. I'm 24 and Canadian, and I like sci fi and fantasy books and shows, video games (I'm currently really into Dragon Age and Mass Effect), and anime. Oh, and if anyone happens to be on Flight Rising, I'm Shieldmaiden there as well, so feel free to hmu.

I also have a couple of questions I wanted to ask, so if someone could help me out or point me in the direction of where I can get my answers from, I'd really appreciate it (and sorry if this shouldn't go here, I'll take my questions over to the help forum). :) -First, I noticed there's a new achievement system. Could somebody explain how that works/what happened to the old ones? -In the wardrobe, I noticed (aside from everything looking different) you can now equip skins if you've unlocked them. My HA (that's the right term, right?) is currently wearing one, but when I click on that one in the list, it says I haven't unlocked it (same with the zombie skin I definitely had at one point). What's up with that, and does that mean it will be gone forever if I try to change my HA in any way? -What's the economy like these days? What's considered cheap and what's expensive? -Did I miss any other major site changes/events? Is there some sort of catch-up list maybe somewhere? -Oh, and the forum post preview next to create topic doesn't seem to be working for me- is that a site issue or just my browser?

I did notice the free name changes, so that's good. :) I just need to think of some.

As far as achievements go, they were all empty when I first logged in, even ones I had before. But I've noticed I'll get them as I click around the site and it'll fill them in if I meet the requirements. So when I went to wardrobe, as I was clicking through my layers, it was giving me the ones for having x number of x type of item. So I guess that means I'll get those ones back. But all the seasonal events ones, like for dancing with x number of people, are not filled in, so will they fill in the next time that season rolls around and I dance with someone, or do I start again?

Ah, ok, I'll definitely see about submitting a ticket for my skin. That's pretty cool actually to be able to unlock them. I remember that the Morostide skins would come around every year, but does that mean the old Pandemic ones can come around again as well?

Oh! I remember what you're talking about now! When the achievements were rolled over to the new page, you had to click a link to transfer all your old achievements, but the link is no longer on the achievements page and I can't remember it off the top of my head, maybe you can file a ticket and ask if a UA can bring over your old achievements, but I'm not sure as it's so long ago ^__^;

In the last two years, the Pandemic skins have been re-released, as well as the new ones (as you can see) :) It's a great new perk :D

Oh, I see. How long ago did they change the achievement page, then? I guess that's another ticket I'll be submitting. I hope they'll be able to move them over for me.

Skins are always so cool. I know there were a few old ones that were released before I joined that I always envied. Knowing there's a chance I could unlock them is kind of exciting. :) Not to mention I kind of missed my zombie skin once I got rid of it.

You can tell your girlfriend she has an awesome name as well as being awesome lol. I may have to fight her though, because there can Only Be One! :P ... Actually, Naomi's a pretty interesting name because there are two main origins- one in the West from Hebrew and one from Japanese. Which is a fact I always find pretty neat. :)

Right?! It's very interesting. We went on a study abroad trip to Japan and that's how we got to know each other. They all knew how to say her name haha
