Hello subeta friends!

So yesterday I applied to a store that I have always wanted to work at; which is Lush. In my mall, they are finally building a lush; because the closest one is about an hour and fifteen minutes way. I looked online to see how to apply, and all I had to do was send my resume in the manager's email. Since I did it late on Friday, I'm assuming that they were off for the weekend. I've researched so much about getting a job there, and I'm trying to follow everything. I've been literally studying the ingredients in all the products, because I've read they want you to have at least some knowledge on the items (which duh, I do. that's why it's my favorite store!)

How can I try to calm myself down? I'm so nervous, because I want this more than anything. Also, it's difficult too; because since they are still in the process of building it, there's no direct number to talk to the manager.

Hey, good to hear about your job hunt again!

Do they have a projected timeframe of how long it'll take before the store's finished? Like, are they BUILDING it, or just rearranging/stocking an existing shop to make it into a Lush? Because that might also impact how long you have to wait before you hear back.

In the meantime, I would keep applying to other places just in case since, again, you might not hear from them right away. Just to keep some prospects going in the event this is still a long way out or it falls though. (Hopefully not, though! Working at a place you LIKE is so damn vital to being happy.) Keep yourself occupied so you don't get eaten up by nerves! Hobbies, exercise, spending time with friends/family, etc. Keep busy and keep hopeful!

please send me any/all and so I can keep them safe

You can also call the company if they have a general number and tell them you live in the neighbourhood, that you applied for the new store! Some companies appreciate that you give them a ring and it's a bit more personal as well.

Is there a nearby LUSH that you could go to and talk to the people there? Get some ideas on what they think about working there and if they know who the manager of the new store will be and maybe even see if you could start working there and then move to the new store, so you'll have experience. It's good just to talk to them though. I love LUSH too though so I would be excited too. Good luck in getting the job! I'm sure if you're as passionate about it as you say, that will shine through in your interview.
