I am a massive fan of the recycle beast and while it is nice he is asking for a wider range of items (not exactly sure what has changed) I don't think currencies should be included.

I feel it will devalue the recycle beast items due to the sheer number of 'free'/event currencies there are.

I would love to see the recycle beast change the items he is asking for more often. Maybe midnight and midday or even more frequently. Changed mind as I think this could end up being very unfair in the rich get richer and the poor get poorer kind of way.

Maybe Recycle Beast items being worth a lot less sP will help to change the way we think about obtaining stuff. Instead of getting an item in hope of selling it for millions later on we'll be more inclined to collect things we really want for galleries and pet treasure chests.

The tradeoff is supposed to be cheaper RB items for less useless items floating around the site, right? And other currencies being more valuable. I guess good old recycle beast was the one to take the "hit" for the team since he doesn't have an item that corresponds with his currency, like SP it's just a number.

This might be a neat feature.

As much as I don't want to see RB items devalued, if more people get up to date with the items already there, then we might get a lot more in the future. We've had quite a few new items brought out recently, which is great, but is still is quite a small range, and I pretty much already have everything I want.

I don't mind RB items being brought down in value a little.

I don't think the items should change more often than every 24 hours though. It'd be nice, but time zones.

Call me egoistic but I am happy with the change. I have never been able to buy stuff from the RB but today I gave him about 2,000 Tokens and bought some stuff that sat on my WL forever.

Staff has said they want to have more items get recycled and they've expanded his pool of items that he asks for, and they will increase the number he asks for. The only way to do both this and keep the same relative value for the items in the shop would be to raise the cost of those items. Then what would be the point of the changes? So the recycle beast items are easier to get, I don't think this is really a bad thing. It also probably means that new items can go in that shop more frequently

Time zones might actually be a good reason to start changing more than once a day. The items he asks for inflate right at midnight. It's not as drastic as something like Fantine's bakery, but it still sucks to miss out on something like that, especially if it's always at a time when you're not online.

What if they structured it kind of like the Alegarten shop, with some overlap? So for example the RB asks for a new set of 10 items every 8 hours (12am, 8am, 4pm). Each set of items would last for 24 hours, so there'd always be 30 items available for turn in.

That does kind of make sense, and I could get behind it if it were overlapped like that.

I was thinking of it more in terms of, the Wizard Tokens became available at midnight but if you weren't able to get online until after noon, you'd be screwed out of easy points (more like, assuming people would be turning in tokens they already had rather than buying more).

- Yeah, I definitely wouldn't want a higher turnover rate if anything got changed. There should still be at least a 24 hour window for turn-in.

I was thinking of it in terms of people who aren't on here at midnight subtime. For us in Europe it's around 5am so it's very hard to stay up for.

I guess the hand off would be that if you don't get online for the first 12 hours of the sub day you'd miss out but if you could get on then you might get two restocks.

I don't know now. The more I think about it the worse case scenario would be the once a day users might missing out completely and the twice a day users being quits in.

I'd love for more currencies to be able to go in the 'tab' if it helps. If we could also cash out more of them I'd be way, way more willing to dump everything in there.

Eh on RB asking for them.. I haven't paid super attention to what type of currencies he's asking for. Red Reign plushies? Good, there are multiples so only some will come up at a time, etc. Steamworks Trinkets? Less awesome.
