I was unsure if the necro rule applies to s&i, so. Here we are.

suggested an option to alphabetize vault categories. I'd really love to see the 'edit categories' page for vaults revamped to match the ones for shops/galleries, where you can edit/change category names without having to delete them completely and start over, and where you can select multiple categories to delete all at once instead of the individual 'remove category' links vaults have now. (I am... very keen on the edit ability, because having to recreate a category and then reassign a host of items one-by-one is. pretty irritating.) And I just saw that we have the ability to move categories with the new shops! Can vaults have that too, please ;A;

Oh, yes please! I've kicked myself for having a couple of categories with the same starting letter. Having to cycle through a few times because I can't seem to hit the "b" key the correct number of times... books, not boosters or baking.

i thought so! but i did a cursory google and hit Rule 36: Do Not Necro Old Threads (with no apparent exceptions), so i figured better safe than sorry p;

... also i just had a thought and remembered why i hate my vault! i can't choose how many of any one stack i can take out, it's either all or none? which is. not helpful. i don't know if that's just me being a derp or A Thing The Vault Does, though

yeah I get that! I asked for the rule to be edited with the exception but I guess they haven't gotten around to that yet? hopefully when the new minimod gets assigned the rules of this forum can be cleared up on the sticky.

You can do that. If you check the box and go to the bottom, there's a "quick vault options" drop down thingy that will let you remove some from the stack. it could definitely be changed to be clearer and easier.

! i forgot about the quick vault options, i guess i've just been too spoiled by the individual dropdowns for shops/galleries u///u; thanks for the reminder, hah.

I'm not even sure I knew it was there but I saw someone mention it the other day. the individual dropdowns are nice. I think vaults could use some updates.

the vaults could use some freshening up, esp if they're going to be used more after the new shops hit everyone next week, yeah. i knew about quick vault and have def used it before, but a while ago i dumped... a large amount of items... into my vault and since i gave up on vault categories and just use the search to remove single items as necessary i guess i just... forgot all those options were at the bottom of the page lmao i'm a mess

I use my vault a lot more than I use shop categories actually, but there are definitely improvements to be made so I would support anything that makes vaults more user friendly :)

i agree! ease of use is generally paramount. (and i'm sure i'll adjust to using my vault over galleries just fine, i just. don't want to reorganize the 600+ items in mine rn because i know i'll become dissatisfied with the category ordering once i've finished lmao)

It would be VERY helpful, in light of the recent gallery changes, if we could edit vault categories like we can on Wishlists.

Being able to change vault category names and reorganize them would be fantastic, definite support!

I would really love this! Please please please. Editing category titles and rearranging them manually, that would be so useful.

So I'm organizing my vault again and it is WAY MORE DAUNTING than it should be! The lack of the ability to rename categories, for me, is the biggest problem. The second being the 20 character limit on category names (the limit is 50 in galleries). And there is the whole lack of alphabetization that irks me, but there's other topics on that and I've also worked my way around that issue by how I name my categories.

The vault categories system needs to be more in line with how gallery categories work, but if I had to pick one issue to be changed, it would renaming categories.
