When we get the new shops thing come into place, could we please make it that no two shops can be named the same? I don't wanna sound nitpicky, but I don't really like it when I put some thought into my shop name, and someone else goes and names theirs the same. Can this please be implemented?

I don't support this. It just seems unnecessary.

I don't support this. There is enough competition with pet names, this shouldn't switch over to shop names as well.

it only stresses me out if they make their shop the same name as mine after I've already went and created the name first. Twice I've noticed this being done. And (lol) one user even had the actual cheek to message me and ask me to change my shop name to something else, even though I made the shop name first. She was just arrogant, so I didn't even bother to reply, but I would just rather the names be unique, so everybody and their dog doesn't have the same name.

Unfortunately, I just can't see this being fair to the majority of users. For example: people who use fandom names. I for example, name all my shops after features in a game. I don't think it would be fair for me to monopolize those names from other fans of that game. (That's really sad that someone would do that to you though, I'm sorry that has happened to you :C It's never enjoyable when other people treat you in that way. If you feel extremely distressed by the user, I might suggest blocking them so that their presence no longer upsets you.)

Unnecessary. Sorry if someone else has the same name as you, but, really, sometimes people think along the same lines. Like others have said - it's hard enough with pet names.

Nah, I like having some flexibility on shop names. I guess it's annoying if people are straight-up stealing your original ideas, but a lot of people just do simple names like "Shop" or references to stuff, and blocking that off for people doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

No support. Shops are not brands, and brands are against the rules for CWs too. Find some other way to have fun, please.
