Minions are a very popular thing to collect. People even go for 100% completion.

I noticed in the news post that staff wants to move us away from hoarding since our shops are getting to be too big, and are a large part of what's causing the site to crash. I think a minion collection similar or identical to the plushie and beanbag collections would be a huge help.

The minion zoo doesn't really cut it. It doesn't hold hundreds of minions and it isn't visible to the public (at least in the beta version). The collection features are laid out nicely and easy to browse, and there's mechanics that help you figure out what you already have or don't have.

If that's the direction the zoo is headed in, great. If not, maybe it should be.

I really want the Zoo to be a 'minion gallery' that is shown off on our profiles!!!!!! (Including keeping the option to name each minion that we put in, because omg my minions are so cute and I love their names and you all must see how cute they are...)

I support this. We really do need a minion gallery to store all our minions. The battling can be added sometime in the future if the programming staff ever have the time to get round to it.

PS I don't want it to be another collection thing like plushies and trading cards, though. A minion zoo should just be a gallery where we can take minions out again if we want to.

I have all of the minions (bar the 3 newest dara ones) and I need something like this. ASAP. I'm in the same place. I've been working on my minion gallery for a long time now and I would rather not have them all settled in my vault where I can't brows them. A zoo would be great but I would want to put in more than one of each kind of minion. Some I like to gather in groups and I would rather not be forced to sell all of them. I'm not certain how you could solve this kind of hording as it is such fun.

I highly doubt it. The shops were on the radar long before, according to staff, and it's not just minions that this is affecting, but all item-specific galleries. My hopes for something minion-specific is slim to none especially when Keith said what he did. All I'm saying is don't get your hopes up and don't count on it. You may be very disappointed.

I doubt galleries are causing as much of a problem as shops are, so I don't really see why at least the gallery limit can't be raised to 5k+ if we can't get an official minion collection.

I would like this as long as the minions can be removed whenever we want. They are canonically alive, so it seems wrong to me that they'd be put into some sort of "collection" where they literally can never see the light of day again. What are they, killed and taxidermied, otherwise?

Also, I have no idea what the minion zoo is, so I'm not factoring that into my thoughts. I don't know what that feature even is.

Galleries should be spun off of different pages than the shops anyway. That way the two of them won't bottleneck the system and would be a lot easier on the servers. Shops are viewed constantly. Galleries aren't. That way people can still have huge unique collections and not have to worry about user traffic like the shops would.

that's true, you can't, but the option still appears on the same page, which is probably meaning they're coded into the same code instead of separate ones. If you separated them, it may help in the long run. I'm not a coder, only going by what I think might be common sense XD

I'm only 15 minions away from completion of my own collection, and I hope something is done for either the zoo or something else. But I don't want to put my minions in a collection that I cannot remove them from (like beanbags and plushies) =/

This seems like something par for the course if Minion Zoos ever get finished, but I really hope it's just a gallery-type feature and not a permanent collection like plushies or stickers. I can't stomach another massively expensive collecting endeavor with achievements for having x amount of the things (and that would encourage more hoarding, decidedly not the effect we're going for now).
