A few years ogoI went to A-Kon in Dallas, about..5 yearsago? and haven't been able to go again sicnce (mostly due to transportation issues, Dallaas is 5+ hours from where i live alst I checked.

I was actually going to meet another Subeta user there, but I wasn't able to find them because I Was told the 'sign' I was carrying with the site name and pictures of the pets on it wasn't allows (not sure why now). Found their UN throigh the original post, but their account is marked as inactive :(

So anyways...Finally able to go again! Only reason I actually can go aain is because someone also going there will pas right near me, and they offered to take me :D That and I applied to be a volunteer, and it got accepted (free badge and crash room for working aroudn 4-ish hours each day.

Another good thing is that im going to have a chance to meet one of my favorite webcomic artists again :D. Last time I got tomeet the creators of Misfile, Red String and Dominic Deegan Oracle for Hire which was nice! THis year its just Mookie (the one for Dominic Deegan), but I'll have to check the A-kon site to see if the others are listed as being there)

Also trying to figure out a cosplay or two to make and t ake with me...Dominic Deegan would be the easiest since it would be things ou could easily find in your closet or thrift shop. I made a scarf in the same colors as the one in the comic about 7 years ago, and it's still holding i9tself togtogether ! A few bit shave needed repairs, but itw ws easy (sewin front strips of fabric, not knitted/crochetd).

Really want to do one from Pokemon or My Little pony with a medieval/renaissance version ofthe particular character I finally pick. There's a few supplies for it that I don't have but I can get fairly easily if I need to (nd for a good price too I think).

Also trying to figure out things for some 'random acts of kindness'...gifts I guess for he otehr peples at the convention. I blame G)SHwhes for it (look it up, it as badasscavenger hunt)and the fact why the hell not? XD Not sure if I want to make a few small boxs for the fandoms most likely to be there with things that go along with the thing (like a little crochet pokeball and pokemon figure for well...pokemon),or get things that people of all fandoms might like. Trying to stick with gender neutral things so I don't stick people under labels that might not apply to them D: ) and finding random peple to give one of the boxes to.

Only thing Id 'charge' is for a e ntry/signaure/doodle in the sketchbook type thing Im going to buy or make. And their first born childXD

If you have any ideas for the RAoK, that would be good :D
