I'm sorry to hear you lost your job. It's always hard. Also, that's horrible about them not letting you have at least the one day off for your grandfather's funeral. I would have just not gone in anyway, but I'm stubborn and don't deal with authority very well. If it means anything, here are my own from mid-US. <3

(Sorry, but I laughed when you said you touched someone's butt with a mannequin arm. I have a pretty weird sense of humor, though, and also don't know the whole story. So if it isn't really meant to be funny, my apologies.)

My condolences on the entire matter.

I have an understanding of how that feels. I lost my job back in October because I needed documents for a federal process and the owner of where I worked didn't want to give them to me. Despite I am legally entitled to them.

I took over shifts, I put my coworkers before me down to taking shifts when I hardly felt like it, went in sick a couple times when others couldn't, took over for my manager when her mother-in-law was ill and dying...

And my manager thew me under the bus when the documents came up. Like thanks. So much.

If was meant as a joke and the other person took it as so, then don't worry about what those other people are telling you. If not, apologize to the person who got their booty groped by the mannequin, everyone moves on and you learn from your mistakes. Even then, still don't worry about what those other people are tellin' you! Don't let them eat at you, is all. :)

Sounds like that manager needs a kick in the bumbum. Sorry to hear about that happening... Hope things have gotten better since. :)

I would really hate doing this, but I was thinking about going back to the call center where I used to work 7 years ago. I was treated like shit but I made good money.

Hope you find a good job soon. I've never been fired but in a couple instances that was only because I quit first. Retail should be a form of social punishment.

I just wanted to throw in that I worked at a kid's store where I frequently had to manhandle tween girl sized/shaped mannequins, so I have a lot of expirence with mannequins and potentially discomforting touching. I have definitely inadvertedly felt one up try to get it undressed.
