I remember when I hated him because he took so long to defeat. XD Think of it this way though: if you fight him in your BQs as much as you can and spend your EXP daily, he'll gradually take less and less time to fight. I love seeing my battle pet progress like that. c:

If it helps, the item Shear Sword should help a lot against Mechalag. Although its base attack is lower than that of most other tier 4 attacking weapons, it gives you an in-battle boost of +20 attack each use. This should help the battle go by faster, especially since Mechalag is the epitome of stalling opponents below tier 9 difficulty.

don't worry it'll get better... and then it'll get worse again, you'll face an opponent that takes just as long, but they boost the whole battle so you'll get them down to 5% HP left and they'll slash you with a massive crit that KO's you from full hp :D

Thanks for the encouragement guys! Man I was so frustrated last night I just needed to vent. I just went NOPE, spent my time drawing a comic instead of actually fighting Lagbutt again, and went to bed.

Noted! I'mma get me one of those

Someday, he will eat cheese too

I forgot his little feathers lol. He proabbly accidentally sheared them off with the shear sword

Mechalag is truly annoying. I remember that frustration. Hell, I think I skipped him well into tier 7 when I was being super lazy. That health and defense makes battles go on FOREVER.

He is a pain! Fittingly I kept getting 502s in the middle of fighting him as well... AND I GOT HIM A FOURTH TIME!

Of course the embodiment of lag and tech issues would love me.

Shear Sword definitely helps things go a bit faster though. And listening to D&D podcasts helps pass the time. Heh.

XD as funny as that was to read, I do feel your pain. My equipment is more geared for my main pet, who is T11 so only pets T9 or higher can benefit from my good stuff, or T7 and higher to use some decent stuff. My second pet is a fresh T6 and battling is awful with him. Sure he could beat all the harder opponents with his stats but the only weapons he can use are so bad he dies half the time against a few opponents and I don't feel like investing the money in smaller tier weapons when I am already investing so much in my main so I just keep sending him into battle to get beat down by people he could easily defeat.

Ahah, I came back from a long hiatus to find the tier system in place and MAN it was annoying to discover that I couldn't use any of my old weapons anymore and had to buy a bunch of new stuff to suit my tier. Thankfully the benefit of being able to train a pet up through the tiers within the new system is that I can just hang onto my lower tier weapons for my other pets to use later.

The issue isn't actually being beat by him so much as that he takes so long to beat. I'll keep that weapon in mind, though.

Thank you!
