Hi all! Please use this thread to discuss your strategies for the challenge located at this thread: Group Activity - HA Challenge - Guest Lecturers

Hello fellow 'Claws! It's exciting to see our first group activity! It brings with it its own set of challenges and puts a new spin on things, but I'm sure it's going to be tons of fun!

I'd love to see everyone's creative talents! Feel free to start off by making an HA or two for us all to have a look at, and we can discuss from there! Post them as soon as you can so that we have plenty of time to fine-tune things and choose our 5 favorites before the deadline!

As for how to pick favorites, I'm thinking a poll? What do you guys think? We could set an earlier submission deadline for anyone wishing to enter an HA, I can gather them all together in one post, and then I could post a poll for everyone to review and vote in. The poll would close a day or so before the submissions were due, and then one of us prefects (or our lovely head girl) could post the final entries for Ravenclaw.

Ping me and let me know if you're amenable to that, or whether you have other suggestions! I'd love to hear from you guys!

I think the poll is a nice idea. I suggest working in team to make HA as well, if some wants to do it together instead of on their own :)

Absolutely! I've never worked as a team to make an HA before so I wouldn't even know how to go about it, but if anyone would like to pair up with another user or with myself, I'd be willing to give it a shot!

using skype screensharing or trading screenshots in smails could be a way to do it ^^

Man I feel so behind the times on the technology. I had no clue Skype had screen sharing! It might be because I'm allergic to Skype so I tend to stay away lol. Great idea, though!

A poll would be a good idea. I wouldn't mind co-working with someone who could work with screen-shots and item names.

I generally suck at HAs. I mean, I like the ones I come up with, but I tend to go for simplistic and my layer-fu is pretty weak most of the time. I can come up with ideas for names and descriptions, though!

Ok, so if anyone ever took part in the chic summer camps, there were a few group collaboration activities on HA. Sadly, from what I hear, arvee is no longer, so we can't use a group account on there. I recomend that if you submit an HA, you screenshot the wardrobe screen so we can all see the layers, recreate it in our own wardrobes and tweak it in our own ways. If we can't reach a version of the HA everyone likes, we could always give a choice between two and then vote. What do you think?

You are right! The deadline is March 30 that way we'll have a few days left for voting. :)

I believe each house is submitting a total of 5 HAs after voting. That way, when we vote, we can narrow it down to just five. Are you suggesting that each person recreates/reinterprets these five HAs? I've never heard of that. Could you explain that a little more?
