Welcome to Presents for Newbies, where new users may choose a set of gifts to take home for their pets.
If you are a new player, we have presents for you to select! You may choose one item per pet that you own (max 10) from the galleries that we provide through each of our individual Presents for Newbies gift services. Check them out! Post in the thread, and let us know which items you want from the gift service galleries. We hope these pretties help!
Currently we offer these gift services:
- ELIXIRS FOR NEWBIES (Choose from this gallery to get Elixirs, which change your pet species and color!)
- MINIONS FOR NEWBIES (Choose from this gallery to get Minions, which are little friends for your pets!)
Rules for Newbies:
- For new players of 4 months or less
- Must have post history showing 5+ posts
- Choose one elixir per owned pet (max 10)
- Choose one minion per owned pet (max 10)
- Post in this thread which items you choose
- First come, so post first and then edit post
- Ping @Pretty in the post when listing items
- Items are intended for you to keep, not sell
- Know there may be a wait (we do go offline)
- No begging, but feel free to ask questions!
? Feel free to tell us which pet each item is for if you want to talk about your pets! We love reading stories about how your pet and your minion like one another, or just any comments you have on the presents you have received! Your appreciation is appreciated.

Heyo! Welcome! It's a good thing to be cautious.
There are not paint brushes on Subeta in the way that there are on Neopets, for example. On Subeta, you use Potions to change a pet's color. Or Elixirs to change a pet's color AND species. You can read more about it in the Pet FAQ. Another page that might help you is the Newbie Guide.

<p>How do I change my pets color or species?
There are a number of ways to color your pets and change their species.</p>
<ul>
<li>The main method of coloring pets is by the use of potions (i.e. Lilac Potion, Glade Potion). The only colors that do not use a potion are Hydrus, Steamwork and Galactic which are colors granted by quests.</li>
<li>Another option is species elixirs (e.g. Lilac Feli Elxir, Dawn Demi Elixir), these elixirs change your pet to the color AND species of the elixir. Elixirs are only available in common colors (common, arid, cream, dawn, dusk, field, golden, lilac, marsh, sun, twilight) and bloodred. Please note that not all combinations of colors and pets may be available yet.</li>
<li>There is a chance to change your pet&;s color by using the V2 Zapper on Atebus, or the original Zapper on the fair grounds. This is a very risky method as it can also change your pet&;s species, pet&;s gender, stats and the V2 can also transform or destroy attached minions or the items in your inventory.

Hi! could I possibly get Bloodred Harvester Elixir and Bloodred Antlephore Elixir?
I'd love to donate as well as I have got a few elixers and mystical toys (Those change your pet, right?) that I don't need :)
I think having my pet Petty as a Bloodred Harvester is a brilliant punny idea. the idea of a soul readper being petty just gives me so many story ideas! Aside from Sanctimony being the Bloodred Antlephore, I don't really know what to do with the rest. I appreciate this though! My pets are going to be more than just experiments! xD!
