Neopets isn't giving me my account info so I can't.

Tbh I'm glad to be out of Neopets. Ever since Neocash started going out, the staff there has become money grabbers and not adding anything of substance to the site. People complaining everywhere. Filters too strict. People getting frozen for no reason. Cheaters and scammers everywhere.

The list goes on and on, but what I'm saying is...while I still like Neo, it's not the same site as before. I have to walk on eggshells all the time.

I still dabble in it from time to time, but...Neopets isn't like it used to be.

Neo is dead tbh. I just go here, Gaia or Leopets.rocks (which is basically the way Neo USED to be in the golden age) now instead.

I have a huge account over at Neo. I think Im a 13 year player. Not quite sure. I have written to those blooming idiots more times that I care to admit, to get my account but they keep asking me for my password that I have forgotten. They go back and forth like a bad carnival ride. No one running that show has a braincell. Angers me to lose so many paintbrushes, weapons and awesome items. I would have loved to be able to at least give it all to someone than to just lose it.

Neopets froze my account years ago for no reason :( I was really proud of it I had rare pets and cool items and everything. Thanks TNT. My side accounts are still there but I'm still pretty salty about it.

I think Neopets is still decent, but it depends on what you value on the site I guess? A lot of people are (still) salty about the art conversion for wearables and the neocash thing, but I like being able to put my pets into funny outfits or have cool backgrounds. Forum filters aren't that big of a deal, imo, but I only go to the Art and Help boards

For a while I thought the complaints were from nostalgia, but ever since JumpStart took over, things have been... uh. Well, there's a noticeable difference in the way they're handling the site and its content in comparison to Viacom.

I'd join Leopets, but I don't like the fact that you need to be "approved" before you get an account; it makes me feel like if I take a break/momentarily use interest, they might wipe me or something :s

It's a wreck but I've been a member on and off for 12 years... I couldn't just leave despite the mismanagement and tumbleweeds blowing everywhere. I've still got my first account, and I recently gained access back to an account I lost four years ago to the e-mail glitch.

The problem is definitely the sale to JumpStart - they are totally unwilling to communicate. They pulled KeyQuest right after the acquisition and have said next to NOTHING about that, yet they're still selling tokens in the NC Mall. Meanwhile other features have been removed or have just been down because they don't appear to have the manpower to run them.

All you hear in regards to fixing the mess is about how so-and-so on the boards knows an intern, and TNT is working really hard, guise!!

Man, oh man, are the filters ever different now. You can't say the word 'grape' among others and the list is ridiculously long. I try not to even post on the forums anymore, because I'm not spending 5-10 minutes trying to rewrite what I wrote or figure out what set the filter off. LOVE the freedom on Subeta forums where you don't have to sidestep your communication.

as much as i love neo - it will never be the same. the only reason i go on the website now is to zap my pets - and try to connect with an old neo friend, which doesn't seem to be working. :/

the main downsides that i see on neo:

• no new avatars/plots
• people who didn't sign up for the altador cup before june 6th cannot participate and have to wait until next year to do so
• there are so many words that you can't say on the forums for stupid reasons, like someone previously posted that you can't say grape. i'm pretty sure 'uncle' was another one.
• they do not come out with any new content, if they do, it's petpets or neocash items
• they genuinely do not care about their user base/responding to tickets
• the main people that play are under 15 and it definitely shows.......
• they can come up with a stupid app (that is like 1000000 others) but can't fix keyquest

just my personal opinion though....

i always go back to neopets because it was such a huge part of my childhood, and i would say i have a decent account w/ good pets and stuff, but it's just not as fun or exciting as it used to be. part of it is how drastically the site has changed since the old days and the other part is simply that i'm an adult now and it just doesn't have the charm it used to. plus having to be SO careful about what you say is kind of annoying.

despite all that, i'm sure i'll be on neopets on/off until the site eventually closes lol

Funny and sad to see that the eng community share the same opinion from br/portuguese players. I used to play it like crazy when I didnt speak english, so it was a fun online community. But since 2011 it has died down like crazy. This is my first time playing subeta and comparing the two makes me so sad, they totally killed neopets D: a 13 y.o in me wishes they would revive it somehow still.

I still go on occasionally, though I lost access to my best account and I'm kinda bummed about that. I tried to participate in the Altador Cup this year but I lost interest pretty fast since, like others have mentioned, the community is way less active. I frequented the NC forums there a lot late last year and it's essentially the same 5 people talking all the time. Like, that's fine and all... but I just miss the days where the forums were super active lol.

tbh neopets has been dead to me since they redrew all the pets some years after the bubonic plague i still have an account but eh

i used to browse the boards and stuff but there was a site-wide lag thing??? from the acquisition methinks, that never really got better. on a lucky day, my browser doesnt crash when i buy stocks, which is probably the only thing i do on that site anymore.

I'm a long-time player, I can't seem to give the site up. There have been so many changes over the years and the site is in shambles but it's still a huge nostalgia thing for me. I'm working on goals I've had since I was a kid, and completing them is an awesome feeling.

I will say the one big thing that keeps me there is my guild. I have so many friends there and it's a like a little online family :)

With that being said...oh gosh so much I dislike about the site. Bilge Dice and KeyQuest are down (indefinitely), JS couldn't put an end to AC cheaters, filters are whack, nc and premium are buggy, overall activity levels are way down, and so much more. Yet I still come back. ;_;

I noticed recently they had frozen my 9 year old main account and 4 sides even though I hadn't played actively in months. I made a new account and sent a ticket but they froze that to. Haven't got a clue what I did wrong but to be honest it was the push I needed to get me off that dying website for good. :)

I self froze my account so I would focus on University without distractions and when I made a ticket to get it back they told me that they froze me for having too many IP addresses? When I told them I've moved a lot for University they froze the account I made to make that ticket, so I gave up.
