When we're doing quests, the big buttons for the Shop Searches, it would be nice if they open up into a new tab/window. This is less of a deal on a desktop or laptop where one can always right-click and make that happen, but it's something I would like for when I am questing on my phablet. Getting back to the quest giver, especially when there are multiple items, and especially when it's time sensitive like the wizard is much easier if I just need to select the correct tab and hit Finish Quest. Otherwise, doing quests on a phablet/phone/tablet is quite a bit harder than on a desktop.

-- Edit -- We probably want this feature to be able to be enabled/disabled in the User Prefs settings.

I'd like this only if it didn't automatically switch to the new tab. I like to open both up in new tabs at the same time and check prices before I actually buy.

If this is something people want, I would like to have the option to keep it the way it is right now. Having to deal with an extra tab popping up every time I click the quest shop search buttion I would find obnoxious and annoying rather than helpful.

You can disable "Go to new tab when I open it" in your browser settings. That's what I've done. Maybe we should have it as a User Prefs setting. THen people could turn it on or off if they wish.

I wouldn't want to turn it off completely though, just in this instance.

I fully understand. So maybe this should be something that can be enabled or disabled in User Prefs. I'll add that to the suggestion.

I think having it in userprefs is probably the best idea. I looked into custom CSS for it, but the CSS codes that I know of for this aren't supported by current browsers (setting all links to open in a new target tab).

None of this makes any sense!

You can: Change your browser preferences for how you want links to open. Use a build-in keyboard shortcut if you don't want to change how all links open. Tap and hold if you're on a mobile device.

This is the kind of thing you aren't supposed to build into a website.

You can just install an extension that opens links in a new tab on right click. That's what I use.

This is a basic browser function, and there are so many ways you can already do this without Subeta hard-coding it in. Let's just leave it alone.
