I know modifying an SQL table is a pain and a half, but adding columns is usually easier than removing them.
I find something I'd like, and it's definitely in the non-urgent catagory, would be a "Note" column to be displayed and edited in the "Edit Items" page of my shop. I'm thinking small, like a VARCHAR(32). I think a CLOB would be overkill. Then I could put in something like "NoFrag" to indicate that the item is not recognized by the fragmentizer. (I have a lambstalk and I keep forgetting that I can't frag it.) For some of the other items, I'd want to note their "Official Price". Other users might have other things they want to add. It just something to make tasks like manual-repricing the shop a tiny bit easier for the few of us who do that.
Another idea might be, for gold accounts, to also show the official price in addition to the lowest price. A number of times I'm looking up items while I manually reprice because I'm looking at how the lowest price compares to the official price. This suggestion is probably the easier of the two because it doesn't require any changes to the tables, just an added JOIN. THis would actually get rid of 90% of my "Note"s.

You could always put the items into categories and sort them that way. Official price is pretty irrelevant, I'm curious why you keep track of it for so many items.
The page is not user-friendly in general.. they need to revamp it and make it easy to control your own shop..
Dunno about the OP but I often check the original price for items that I suspect are currently priced much lower (especially with jewellery, where the difference might be tens of thousands). If the current RS system then eventually pulls a low-priced item from the NPC shop, the prices usually go up at least to the original price in user shops too. So I pick a price around that amount and wait :)
As regards the original suggestion, these are the things I'd most like to see in shop's item editing page:
If these two are impossible to get, a note field might be useful in the same way. Would it be searchable?
I'd rather see a rarity filter or search/sort like you said rather than more clutter on that page
Me too. Would be a nice change to get filters/sorting for something actually useful, instead of the two weird (and obviously not even working) filters we have now...
I would need another 20 categories to do as you suggest. I currently use my catagories to track the timeline of when things arrive in my shop. Hallamshire's suggestion for sorting by timeline would alleviate that for sure.
But I have an easier-to-implement suggestion. In most cases, when we have a picture of an item, there's also a hover box that appears. Adding that each picture in the Edit Items would solve my requests and perhaps some other requests mentionned here.
