I know it's usually easier to transform your pet with an Elixir, but at the moment I'm mostly interested in making one for the ability to have a genderless pet. Are they just released randomly or are there any specific times to look out for them? Would I be better off spending the 18 million or so to buy the berry? (which I don't even have at the moment lol)

I don't think they get released often at all. I'm not certain though.

They haven't been rereleased since I've been here - I had one of the originals. But there are potions that'll turn your pets into them?

Cheapest way to make a genderless pet is via the Yunium Key. You can buy it from the Masquerade shop. Right now, it's pretty inflated, but it's going to go down next month, with Masquerade going on.

You use whatever schematic + Yunium key to create any Steamworks pet. The pet will have the gear gender, but will switch to genderless if you potion it into any color but Steamworks.

I'm interested for making a genderless pet, the elixirs don't change your pet's gender I don't think.

The Steamworks Key Mold is 12M right now, the Berry is 30M

It's a lot less expensive to make the key than to buy the Berry. The other two components for the Yunium Key are less than 5K together.
