I would like to see posts made in the ping group forum not appear in a users recent posts.

I recently made a thread in one of my ping groups forums believing that it would only be seen by that ping group but was horrified to realise that someone outside that ping group had been reading my posts because they could see them in my recent post.

Now it seems obvious that anyone can read those posts too but I really think they shouldn't be able to.

Sounds awkward, but yeah that is probably a good idea. If a user can't see the forums and post on them, why should they be able to read them in recents.

Indeed, that totally negates the point of making them private o.o

Perhaps a privacy setting button in our User Dashboard or directly under Recent Posts could be created/utilized? Private discussions amongst ping groups should only be available to those involved...totally agree! :)

Do private forum posts still appear on friend feeds? I hadn't noticed any recently, so I totally thought this was fixed.

I've seen a lot of personal things shared on cult/private forums, so it would be nice to see those stay private.

I agree...what is the point of the private forum if posts are visible to all? Would like to see this fixed.

Sometimes what's being discussed in the ping group forums is personal, and even if it's not incredibly so, only members of the ping group should be able to see that forum. Is there any way to do that?

Fully support fixing/changing this! Non-forum group members have no business being able to read what has been posted in a private forum.
