All I need is a click! Tattoo Contest

You may need to be signed into FaceBook to 'Like' - The winner receives a gift certificate to the same tattoo place that she got her tattoo at. She needs to get her tattoo coloured. And of course, 'tattoo people' will understand that costs a pretty penny sometimes! ~ Of course sharing this page (or even the FB page if you feel so inclined) on Subbie will help too! ^-^

Back Story: So, Drew has this friend who used to go around naming people after animals they reminded him of, she was a 'Teddy Bear'. And thus earned the name, 'Drew-Bear'. To this day most of her friends call her that.

Then, after her Nanna, introduced her to her native culture she received the Spirit name, 'Little White Bear' when she was younger. Since then, I have noticed that she really sees it as a form of strength and a small symbol of who she is.

What she says it means to her: 'It means a belonging, and an understanding of part of my culture and background'.

She never lived with her father, and this is where her small amount of native heritage comes from. I believe it has a lot to do with her connection to him and his side of the family. She was embraced into the culture (such readily loving people) and joined a weekly, drumming group by which she fashioned her own drum and took part in the responsibility of maintaining the facility it is held in and even occasional opening up and sharing (which is sometimes rare for this girl)!

Through that drum group she met, Winnie, the Inuit elder who led the group for these local kids to help enrich their lives. She often spoke of a rich history in her culture from the Northwest Territories (brrrr). A very tough, "won't put up with crap from anyone", but loving woman. I just love her. <3

Drew came up with a 'fursona' for Little White Bear some time ago. The result is the bear on my tribute page to her. Using all of that, her best friend drew the rendition of it, that is now her tattoo!
