Yeah I believe you just plant it and water it every day for a few days, when it's fully grown you get a new pet.

[edit] lodge: "Plant this seed and remember to water it every day. On the third day, BEFORE you pick it, make the pet you want changed your active pet. Pick the plant and it will "attack" your main pet, making it an Aeanoid."

Oh, will I need a new pet slot?

Or will it replace a pet that I have?

I edited my last post with something from lodge (that I didn't know before!) it makes your active pet an aeanoid :)
