so, the 30 Percent Discount card (or any of them i guess):

• do you need to actually USE it, or does it just sit in your inventory? the subeta lodge description says it works if it's just in your inventory
• so, does it still work if it's locked in your inventory? or does it need to be unlocked?
• does the 15% discount buff stack with it? or does it override it/have no effect?

It just sits in your inventory and works if it's locked!

As far as the 15% buff goes, it doesn't stack in the way that you get 45% off... but you do get both discounts. I forget which order it goes in, but you get one percentage taken off, then the second percentage taken off of the amount after that.

The price tag makes it pretty useless unless you restock A LOT. Not really worth it unless you want to make back a fraction of what you spent on it a few years later or you find one cheap from another user :)

Taking 30% off a value and then taking 15% off it will have the same result no matter what the order is. You'd get 40.5% off total

0.70.85x is the same as 0.850.7x

I just thought that I would add to this real quick - I've got one locked in my inventory, and when I have my discount bluff, I can buy a snowball (which costs 1000sP flat) for 680sP. So you're looking at getting just a third off of everything.

And while that doesn't seem like a lot, you also have to consider that restocking in places like the Apothecary and All That Glitters is a LOT easier.. =)

This, 100%. I restock A LOT and it took me probably two years, if not more, to pay myself back what I spent. If you're a casual store restocker it may not be worth the expenditure.

Edit: The card discount does not apply to Subeautique, either.
