I don't know if this has been suggested before, if so please point me into the direction of this thread. :)

I'd love a really cool beetle Pet species or even an Experiment only. Seeing that Subeta seems to lack a few more cool insect pets this would be a nice choice.

A few pretty examples would be

Rhinoceros beetle Hercules beetle Elephant beetle Stag beetle Xylotrupes gideon L. (Thailand Rhinoceros beetle)

Bugs creep me out. That said, I have nothing against a bug pet or experiment.

I love the idea. Cannot say that I adore them because chaotically flying insects are too much for me but a beetle experiment sounds cool :)

I'd LOVE this as a regular pet, so it could come in many different varieties and colors. I hate bugs but boy do I have an interest in big shiny beetles! We definitely need a cool bug pet that's not only an experiment. (not that experiments are bad, but I like the variety of colors on typical pets) The only buggies we have are cutesy, I'd like to see the beetles because they're "tough" looking in comparison to our fluffy bee and fluffy moth pets we already have. I'd definitely get an aqua one or field one if they could make it look kind of like a june bug ^_^ (or maybe the common one could look like a june bug?) I really REALLY want this! Now that Shengui Guo is around, it would make sense that a new species may emerge, and well, most of these beetles are native to (and very popular as pets) in Asia!

I personally dislike insects in real life, but holy crap do they look cool. As pixels that can't torment me. I mean, there are some really awesome insect designs one can have out there and beetles do have the most variety of all the species.

I'd love a scarab type pet, maybe discovered through another Saheric adventure with Blake Steele?
