LOCK PLEASE- Great advice/solutions found :) I rarely complain about the site, but I guess this candy heart situation has me a tad annoyed. It would be nice to have multiple ways of getting the candy hearts like doing quests, or random events (like the new years tokens?). I find the forum way to be so tedious and boring. When you post, you only get a few hearts each time. I work full time and it's impossible to post often, and if I did, it still wouldn't be enough to collect all of this years items that I want as well as the last few years when I wasn't on the site. I do understand it's more fun to have to really work for it, and it makes the items more valuable in that they aren't easily attainable, but another option to collect would be nice...

You don't have to post at all on the forums to get candy hearts.

Here's what you do:

• find a friend (or someone else who needs a ton of candy hearts)
• add the notepad widget to your sidebar
• add this to your notepad widget:
• click the link whenever you get on Subeta and dish out all of the kisses.

That said, I wouldn't be opposed to more ways of getting the candy hearts, but it's so easy and so effortless to get them already that I kind of... don't see the point.

Isn't it still timed though like you could technically only kiss every 2-6 minutes? It seems the same as forums to me? effortless IS nice but it's painfully boring

I have hardly had any time to get hearts and I still have gotten enough to buy one copy of every item from this year. I don't think that another way is necessary. I have a notepad full of friends that I kiss and get plenty.

It's timed (and the links reset after 30 minutes) so people can't get thousands of hearts in the span of 5 minutes. Autorefreshing is a thing during events like these.

What do you suggest we do, exactly? Do away with the kissing, which is more or less an integral part of the holiday and switch entirely to candy hearts being given out by quests? Sorry if I come across as a bit aggressive, that's not my intent. I'm just a little confused as to what you exactly want from this event.

[edit] You can buy the candy hearts from users. And you can buy them, turn them in and spend them after the event is over, too! If you don't get everything now, you can always buy later. Poke around advertising and buy in bulk from whoever has extras.

It's OK, I always find it to be aggressive in the forums which is why I never say much but, but I am also very sensitive by nature and tend to take things out of context LOL. I was just making sure I understood your suggestion correctly that's all! As I said above, those are my only suggestions was to maybe add a few in quests or something because at least quests are "fun" (a bit?). But doing the notepad thing seems a LOT better than just trolling around the forums waiting for your time to be up so thank you for that suggestion!! :)

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm mostly a lurker on the forums too thanks to anxiety and I tend to come across as "I am always angry and I have a stick up my butt" when I do post. ;P

The notepad trick is way easier, especially if you know someone else who needs a ton of candy hearts! People also tend to sell their candy hearts if they have extras because it's easy money, so if you have sP and don't mind the hassle with a lot of trades, you can buy 'em too.

I'd have nothing against some extra ways of getting hearts to make the events more fun, but it's a little hard to figure out the balance when the hearts are very easy to get as is.

You were just in my brain (social anxiety much?), I just sighed so heavily hahaha. Maybe I judge a book by it's cover because your HA is a total badass and mine is this frail woodland creature of a thing LOL. I just set up my notepad, holy crap, I can't believe I have never done this for any event. And I would much rather kiss my friends and give them candies- brilliant! I do agree, it is very easy/effortless to get them, I guess sitting and clicking in the forums was making me stir crazy yesterday. With this notepad thing though, now I can play as always and just click on the sidebar every few minutes. And no more loading all these forum images and HAs which is so much better for my crappy computer! hugs

Yay, I'm glad I could help! The notepad trick also works for dancing and trick-or-treating, so it should make things a lot easier for you in the upcoming events (even if Morostide is like... 8 months away, bwahah).

If you don't want to interact with people, which I can understand, you can just go and buy the currency on shop search, as it has been around since 2006.

Some people hate questing. These people would be pretty upset if currency was given out by quests. This is why i completely ignored New Years celebrations, because like hell I'm going to do the dull chore known as quests.

oh I totally get that, I didn't mean solely in quests, just another way to get it :) I do like interacting with people haha
