i'm just accustomed to seeing people making topics all the time on the other pet site I came from...so why not here?

Because the forum has been semi-dead for years. It used to be much more busy but not anymore unfortunately.

people make topics but most of us have a specific few threads we enjoy talking on. the shoutbox is very active.

Because most people already have friends and we're just the ones left over with no one to turn to and woe ;-;-;-

makes a good point. There's already a ton of friend groups on Subeta so it's kind of like... well, you can't just barge into already established groups lol. I registered a long time ago but I only really got into Subeta the last five years or so... even then I've only met a few people, and I don't post often because I figure it's so easy to get lost in the sea of faces so why bother. 8S

if you are coming from neopets, i know the feeling. over there, topic are created fast and move fast. the difference is here you can't double post. that is partly the reason why forum are not so lively.

also, there are enough activities to get people occupied other than forum. like quests, battle or HA.

buy/sell/trade stuff is done in dedicated forum, so they are not all over the place.

people don't get nostalgic all day talking about the good old days.

there are less complain because there are less to complain here. and things get fixed rather quick and often.

there are no pet trading.

there are no user policing. you know, going all stalker mode to check if everybody is not cheating. which is common there and always turn into witch hunt.

well, those are my opinion when comparing the two :)

but hey, event is a great time to meet new people or infiltrate any group :P people are really friendly here. they are more comfortable talking in group post since they don't have to follow specific topic of discussion.

I'm not actually sure, to be honest. A few years back this section used to be totally hopping, but it seems like it's really died down. I'm kind of digging through to see if I recognize any names anywhere, but maybe most of the regulars that used to be around here moved on or something :v I guess that makes an opening for new regulars though, haha

I also feel like the forums are not as lively as they used to be after being mostly gone for about 1-2 years. There are a lot of groups posting regularly in Small Talk but I always feel so anxious joining in even if they say it's ok, because it's usually a close-knit group on first name basis. Still, it's a place to start if you feel brave!

it used to be slightly~ active but it kind of died down i guess? in other sites people make tonnes of threads for mundane things but i think theres a stricter spamming rule here, if im not mistaken? i havent really posted in a while. i tried posting before but i dont really keep up with it

I was kind of active a few years ago, but I'm kinda old and feel like a creep because I think most of you are probably teen girls. I mainly talk to the two people I know irl.

It's a bummer. I wish it were more social. , how old if I may ask? I usually feel like a granny here myself.

The forums are rather busy during events. People make friends on Subeta by talking in the Shoutbox mostly.

Well, I prefer this over the spam of some other sites. :)

Yeah, I've noticed the slowdown of the forums too, even though I've only been here 2 years. Maybe it's because forum activity all over the internet is slowing down.
