I know that I'm not alone in not receiving a banner at the top of a page when you receive the bonus quest buff for the Wizard. 9 times out of 10, I only know I had a bonus quest available because I get the sidebar alert telling me it's expired.

Would it be possible to get a sidebar alert when the buff is activated? We receive a sidebar alert for every other buff available (to my knowledge) - the NPC shop discount, reduced kissing/dancing/trick-or-treating time. This way, people wouldn't miss it.

In fact, I would love if all random events occurred in the sidebar instead of page banners. I somehow end up with items in my inventory too that I'm assuming came from a random event, but I never saw a banner. I don't know if that will get support though, but throwing it out there just in case.

I thought the Wizard Quest Bonus shows on the left side under the "users online" could always just look over at it occasionally.

But I guess it couldn't hurt to get it as a side bar notification instead.

I never understood the lack of the event so yes! I'm all for it.

I usually have events on my sidebar I need to keep as notes (comments I haven't replied to and so on) so the dashboard is not 'visible' for me most of the time.

I would totally love this, as I don't know if there's a cache on the Buffs on the widget, but I hardly ever see it active until too late.

Especially when we are getting alerts for the NPC shop discount buff, which I find quite unnecessary given the frequency/length of time of the buff :P

I think this has been brought up before, and I totally support it every time it does! I also seem to remember Keith saying something about wanting to change the whole way the extra quest buff works.

An event notice would be nice. That little question mark in the Buffs: I seldom notice at the best of times.

I totally agree, I never know I have it until it's expired. I find some event banners are huge and some non existent so it would be great to have it all pop up in the side bar so you can't miss it!

You get an event when you get the Main Shop buff, so it's kinda weird to not get one for the Wizard Quest buff.

Right now I think the wizard quest buff gives you a 502 error when you get it, which is why it is so easily missed.

This is a great idea. The only time I notice it now is when I happen to glace at the sidebar and there's a question mark there.

...The one I didn't even know I'd gotten? Most times I get a small notice that I have it but I would definitely appreciate a better notification.

Full support for this! I've missed lots of bonus quests because i never noticed i had the buff until i got the expiration notice. Just missed another one and i never even got the little question mark icon for it...how was i ever supposed to know?

I'm another one who hardly ever sees RE/event notifications at the top of the page (SubQ invites, the snowballs when they were happening, etc.) despite the fact that i habitually make an effort to completely load and check every page i open. I swear they just don't appear most of the time. I wonder how often i miss Tempest because i never see the event.

Yes... this ^^^ I rarely see the banner, especially if I am RSing, my Events tab is up primarily so I don’t even see the Buffs icon and most times I’m only aware I even received it because the alert pops up that it has expired.

Please consider adding a sidebar alert for this...
