This happened a while ago but I was just wondering if anyone else has had an equally weird or creepy situation.
So, I was taking my husband and his cousin to work (because they go to the same place) just like any other day when we heard a noise and then realized that we had a flat tire. We pulled over and were putting on the new tire (which none of us had ever done before) when an old guy in a truck pulled ahead of us and got out to give us some assistance. We had it under control but he stuck around and started talking to us. He talked about how he lived on a farm by himself and other useless information. Nothing weird, right? Not really. Well he seemed a bit off and boy was he ever. He was looking at me pretty much the whole time he was talking to us. Then he asks my husband, who was standing right behind me, "Can I pet her?". Wtf!? Are you kidding me?! Yeah. He went there. My husband was like, "I don't think that is a good idea." I'm guessing the guy was a little sad after hearing that but he started walking closer to me. I was crouched on the ground watching my cousin-in-law put the new tire on the car when I felt the guy poke me on the head with his finger and then move back. I..was....I don't even know. I couldn't describe it at the time. Well, we got the spare on and he gave us his number in case we would need any help later. Bill was his name, btw. NO THANKS BILL! After he left I dropped the number on the ground and kicked it away with my foot and hurried into the car. My husband, being the hilarious person that he is, said without hesitation, "Hey. Maybe the farm animals aren't doing it for him anymore." Really? Really? -.-
Ugh gross. Pet you? What are you, a dog?
I'm a magnet for creepy old guys. One time I went to the public library to pick up some books I had on hold and when I was waiting in line, an older guy walked up to me and asked if I was in line (duh. I'm standing in the roped off area behind two other people). I told him I was and he got behind me. A few moments later, he leaned in really close and started sniffing my hair. I turned around and gave him this wtf look. He mumbled something and backed up. I turned around again and I heard him take a need breath. Thankfully I was called up to the counter right after that
oh god, that's creepy as hell. D;
i've had a couple of creepy older men approach me but i mean, this was when i used to hang out at gay bars a lot and i do look like a twink so i mean, it's to be expected. xD though one time this guy TWENTY-ONE YEARS OLDER THAN ME (while i was seventeen) literally would not let me leave. he kept on trying to convince me to go to his place, and even after i politely declined he just wouldn't leave me alone. i sat outside the bar until 4 am with him as he kept going on about this one event in his life, but at 4 am i was just too drunk and tired to bother so i said bye and left lmao.
then there is that one time i was at a supermarket buying some random things, and one of those things were pads. and when the cashier lady (probably a good 5 - 10 years older than me) got to them she winked at me and we had this cringe-worthy exchange: she: are these for your girlfriend~? me: (single af) uh, yeah. she: is she pretty~? me: uh, yeah. she: (got close to me, cleavage showing) is she prettier than me~? me: (visibly uncomfortable) uh, hey sorry i'm a rush could you like... hurry up please?
kinda gross and just generally creepy you've been warned
one time i walked into a public bathroom and there was only this one guy who was just... having a good time by himself. as soon as i walked in he smiled at me and said hey mate, mind giving me a hand here? i just said sorry but i'd rather not in a really polite way because i mean, he was polite to me. he just continued smiling and said oh it's fine. have a nice day mate!.
needless to say i walked right out of that bathroom and went to find another one.
and, not really creepy just weird, but when i was 18 i worked as an intern in this language school and one thing i often used to do was go to the post office to send off things. one day, there was only one guy working there so i approached him and handed him the letters. he grabbed them, looked at me straight in the eyes, and with the most serious voice, said you will be a great musician someday and i just... what?? i don't know how to play anything and i don't even look that alternative. but alas he was around 60 and looked really happy to tell me this so i went along and said oh dude you think so? i've been playing guitar ever since i was 10! it's my life! and we just started talking from there haha. and when i went back to that same post office some days later he was there with some other guy and the second i walked in he turned to his colleague and said hey look, it's the musician i told you about!. pretty weird but hey, it was fun. |D funny enough though, this is the second time someone thinks i'm a musician. once when i was a teenager one of my dad's friends said that i look like a rockstar haha
Urgh. Good news/bad news? You're not the only one to experience something like that. D=
Some time ago, I was standing on the bus on my way to work; 7am, pre-coffee. That's when I felt a hand pet my hair. Like, root-to-tips, full palm, just stroked from the top of my head right down to my waist (my hair's pretty long). I turned to give whoever it was a horrified look, but it was a crowded bus and no one was looking at me or gave any indication of who it had been.
shudder
I can honestly say that that has never happened to me but I'm generally not in an area by myself for something like that to happen. Thank God! I don't even know what I would do if it did.
Wow..just wow. The things that people do can be really out there. Speaking of that: When my sister got married I was sitting at the head table with her brother-in-law who at the time was older than me, maybe somewhere around 10 years, and we were talking. Well he mentioned how he lived in Japan for his job, which I thought was really cool. That is, until he said that I should go back with him and he'd purchase me a plane ticket to do so. It was...awkward as hell, but I kept talking in hopes of trying to seem less freaked out. At that time (and even now a little) I kept to myself. Long story short - he gave me his e-mail address and told me to keep in contact with him. I never did. lol. I think he e-mailed me but I always deleted them once I knew it was him. ;; shiver ;; It might have been an innocent thing but stuff like that creeps me out.
Ah! No way! I think I would've turned around and tried to punch or slap something...anything. Well, that or maybe yell. I don't know what I would. I'd like to think that it wouldn't involve me freezing in place from shock but I can't really say. I hope that never happens to me. I feel for you!
Oh, trust me, I'm a horrible grouch in the morning - I'm pretty sure I would have gone completely ape-shit on their ass. ...Buuut didn't want to go off on an entire crowd of strangers without knowing exactly who was the creep. D=
Ever since then, though? I always keep my hair pulled over my shoulder when riding public transit. XD
That is incredibly weird. I honest to god don't know what goes through people's heads...
I am like, the queen of weird shit happening to me. I remember one time I was out for lunch with my one friend, and I had a cast on because I had broken my leg. So I'm hobbling around the restaurant trying not to hit anything with my crutches when some guy stands up and is like, 'excuse me, what did you do to yourself?' So I told him, and he was like, 'would you mind if I prayed for you? I've done it for other people, and I've healed sprained thumbs before.' And I was like, 'uhhh... well, thank you for the offer, but no.' Like, yeah. You're just going to magically heal my broken-in-two-places-ligaments-torn leg.
Another one was with the same friend as the previous story, and we're at a mall shopping and as we're getting off the escalator this woman approaches me. I thought she was going to ask me for directions or something, turns out she wants to introduce me to her son. She was very pleasant, but forceful about me meeting this dude (who was like... in his late thirties and balding). Then she was talking about how her son was looking for a wife and how she 'had a good feeling about me.' And I'm just standing there like, 'wat.' He ended up giving me his number and my friend and I were just like... completely baffled as to what the hell just happened. I'm pretty sure we sat in my car for a good ten minutes in just pure silence because we were so weirded out, haha!
