While questing today, Cinthia asked for a Decapitated Puppy. Am I the only one a bit disturbed by the fact this is even an item here at all? I understand how most of the more dark/morbid/gory items are humorous, but I honestly don't find any humor in this one at all. How did it even get approved?

I'm not trying to be whiny about it, nor am I going to start some pointless petition to get the item removed, even though it's pretty disturbing to me. I just want to know how this item even came to be on the site.

Any thoughts or opinions on this?

Edit: The item doesn't bother me anymore, and no I don't want it removed, I never did. I was simply shocked by it.

There are a few items out there that make me shake my head as they are just wrong.

I'm a bit happy to see I'm not the only one with this opinion. I haven't really seen any others that irk me, yet. So far this one takes the cake.

That is definitely an odd item. But it's not particularly gory and the description isn't bad, so I can see why it still was approved. I would personally never use it as a minion though D:

It's been a site minion for years and years. If I remember correctly, the current version is its revamp (could be wrong though, after 8/9 years I can't keep track of everything lmao). But I've never really had a problem with any item on subeta.

Well it's not bleeding or even remotely gory. Disturbing maybe but only because it's a puppy. I'm fairly sure it's to go along with anything graveyard/zombie/etc related. Just like the zombie cat minion and stuff, they're all "dead" and missing limbs or eyes, just not missing a head. The item itself doesn't seem like such a big deal.

It's one of the older items on the site, I remember it from when I first started playing. It's not overly gross or anything so I really don't see the problem with it. Not like anyone is promoting decapitating puppies, it's just one of the items for the undead stuff. No different then the Undead Kitty or the Vengeful Undead Kitty which are basically just decapitated cat heads. lol

I've always found it oddly cute. It's meant to be a bit of a strange item but besides the name it's not that's disturbing. It's somewhat like Thing from the Addams family. Strange but friendly.

I don't think the puppy is too bad, some of the food items on here though....

Even My Little Pony did a Headless Horseman parody. Decapitated things are pretty standard Halloween fare, really, and Subeta has a couple yearly events plus Shadowglen entirely dedicated to spooky stuff, so there's bound to be a few things like this around.

If you don't like the item you can always block the image of it using your adblocker. Really though it's just a creepy/spooky/gross item like many on here. If you don't like it... oh well? I don't like the gross food items but that doesn't affect anything so I just go on with my day.

The image or description isn't particularly gory. I think he's kinda cute actually. If the item was super bloody and graphic I can see it being an issue.

I like that there are items like that on this site. There are so many super kid-friendly virtual pet sites out there, it's nice to have one more "grown up" for a change.

on the surface it doesn't look too bad, but personally i get pretty messed up about cruelty to children and animals so the item appearance might not be too bad but the, like, idea of it kinda makes me :/

i think maybe the word "decapitated" is a little bit strong. it'd probably be nice if it had a name change.

It's not advocating decapitation. :s What makes you personally uncomfortable is very subjective. I'm grossed out by edible poo items yet they're still here.

If you thought the puppy was bad, might be even worse.

There are lots of Graveyard pets that people have taken issue with over the years but they're still here.

I don't really have an issue with it, It really just caught me off guard and disturbed me for a bit. Some of you are making me feel like I'm making a big fuss out of it when really I'm not.

Surprisingly the dead person doesn't bother me at all. In fact it's on my wishlist. LOL

Now I'm not saying I want the item taken down, it's been around forever it seems, but I've only just stumbled upon it recently. It just caught me a little off guard and oddly it's the first item here that has caught me off guard.

Basically, my mood on things shifts daily, I was in an odd one the other day apparently. The item isn't really bothersome to me anymore. It was more of a shock factor for me for some odd reason.

Am I weird if I think it's cute? XD I kinda just take it as a joke. The puppy is just a zombie now but he's still very happy you came home! I like some of the darker things around the site. I like dark. ^^
