I'm kinda bummed about the new layout and purchasing method for the snowballs in Avalanche Emporium. Is this going to be permanent or is it just for the Snowman event? It seems pretty boring that you can buy all the snowballs all the time, now :/ I like the RSing shops. I hope all these shops aren't going to turn into "You can buy all items all the time" shops, like with the GoOutside (which I really feel should have a space in between the two words), and shops in Shengui Guo along with the medical shop. It takes the enjoyment out :/

I'm like 99% sure it's only going to be for the event. They did a similar thing last year during the snowball throwing contest, and then it went back to normal afterwards. Except this year you can't buy in bulk and the price was increased, to prevent some of the mass hoarding that happened last year. They're not getting rid of restocking entirely.

My bigger concern is with the fact that snowballs aren't even working. They don't show up on HAs.

Current shop set up also prevents from usual buying from Shop Search page, for example if I'm asked for a snowball for a quest. Clicking on Buy only opens the shop page, I need to search for given snowball and buy it there. Minor annoyance, but when someone does quests almost automatically, it halts the process.

"sP sink" is probably the right word for that. x_x' (with all the people already buying cheap food aka restocking at the bake stop...)

Like I said earlier, the price increase is there to discourage people from buying tens of thousands of snowballs like they did last year. And the price is still the same for everyone, so it affects all teams with how much people will be able to donate. I'm sure the price will drop again after the event, for people who want to buy snowballs for the achievement.

An empty restockable shop would "take the enjoyment out" of this event for a lot of people, as well as for the people who like throwing snowballs.

The way the shop is now makes this inclusive and a very smart sP sink.

It's prefectly fine to have an event-sp-sink like this. But if you link "drink, food and warm clothes" as well in the news post, those linked shops should be in some way unlimited supplied as well I think.

It's been forever since we had a Restock War, and I'm super happy staff members have changed their minds and brought this back!

Restock wars were great. But since you only needed to buy items r50+ there was enough supply for quests etc. with low rarity items in stock... (which came really cheap after a while 'cuz ppl were buying thinking "that looks rare", though)

I can't say that I'm concerned about quests or will be during the event at this time, but that's just how I feel about it.

Restockable item prices always normalize after events.

Lame. 1k sP each was already a huge sink for those who wanted the highest tier of the achievement. Now it's ridiculous. :c

I'm fine with this. I image the price hike is just for the event, so that the items we need can fall into two categories: conveniently available all the time but you have to pay for the convenience, and cheaper, but harder to get. I like the mix. There's be no challenge/sacrifice if the snowballs were cheaper.

I wish buying from Search didn't take us to the shop. This is very annoying when doing quests.

What about buying from quests bringing to the shop instead of buying and also the fact that snowballs aren't working on HAs?
