HA issue

hi there, I'm a returning user coming back after a hiatus of a couple of years, and I'm having some issues with the wardrobe/human avatar system (I hope this is the correct forum for this question).
my HA isn't showing up for me in my sidebar, and when I go to the wardrobe I can't seem to find the skin she's wearing under the new skins feature. as I understand it, you can now remove skins temporarily from your HA but you can still use them as and when? my HA is currently wearing the 2012 morostide bird looking skin, is this included in that feature? currently when in my wardrobe, my current HA is obscured by the default base, even when I drag the base layer down to be underneath all the other layers.
I've tried to read up on the wardrobe update but I'm extremely confused, I'd really appreciate some help on this one, as my HA hasn't been updated in 3 years and could probably do with a look at.
Alright, let's first rule out a couple basic things:
Go into your wardrobe, find the "Skins" tab, go through that, anything in color is what you have unlocked (you can put it on again later), there should be a "Click here to remove your skin." Click that and give it a couple minutes, the V3 wardrobe has been strange the past couple days. (It also refuses to show my HA's hair.)
okay, thanks! I went back into my wardrobe and I only have the "eyebawls" skin unlocked, but my browser in all other instances where I am able to see my HA is showing her with the bird skin. I tried clicking on the bird skin in there but it says I haven't unlocked it, even though I am wearing it and I'm fairly sure I never took it off. does that mean I had to do something else to unlock the skin in the wardrobe? I'd rather hold onto the skin if I at all can.
I'd go so far as to file a ticket into the matter. I need to do so as well because I had the blue-cat-from-Avatar skin at one point and it's not showing as unlocked for me.
